And the people was just like 'God!'" I'm gonna enjoy mine. I'm gonna make a beat and I'm gonna goof off," said Chop. "I bring the goofiness out of Chief Keef, 'cause I am a goof ball. Beyonce Opens Up About Miscarriage, Call It "The Saddest Thing" She Has Ever Been Through

More pieces of Beyonce's HBO documentary, Life Is But A Dream, have been revealed, weeks before the project's debut.
The 31-year-old shared the details of first learning that she was pregnant, all the way up to the moment she found out that she miscarried. “About two years ago, I was pregnant for the first time,” she said. “And I heard the heartbeat, which was the most beautiful music I ever heard in my life. “I picked out names, I envisioned what my child would look like…I was feeling very maternal.” Somehow, things went wrong, and during a trip back home to New York she learned of the miscarriage. “I flew back to New York to get my check up—and no heartbeat. Literally the week before I went to the doctor, everything was fine but there was no heartbeat.” Bey turned to music to help ease the pain. “I went into the studio and wrote the saddest song I've ever written in my life. And it was actually the first song I wrote for my album. And it was the best form of therapy for me, because it was the saddest thing I've ever been through.” The title of the song has never been revealed. Last January, the Houston native gave birth to daughter Blue Ivy Carter, and has become noticeably more open with her fans since becoming a mother. Rick Ross Hires 24-Hour Armed Security After Drive-By Shooting

Rick Ross looks to protect himself following an attempt on his life. Earlier this week, Rick Ross had a brush with death after he crashed his Rolls Royce into a building following a drive-by shooting. And he isn't taking the situation lightly. According to TMZ, Ricky Rozay, who is yet to break his silence on the matter, has hired 24-hour armed personal security for his protection. He was previously using armed bodyguards for public events, but has now decided he wants security around the clock. Sources say that the Maybach Music Group leader received threats for some time, but that he didn't pay them any mind. Now, he's had a change of heart since the attempt on his life. Yesterday, Pusha T said that they share the same mix engineer who told him that Ross was doing fine. Additionally, "Freeway" Ricky Ross spoke to HipHopDX on the matter, stating that it's "no surprise" that the assassinaton attempt occurred. 50 Cent also gave his two cents, suggesting that the situation looked "staged." Ross is currently prepping the release of his new album Mastermind, which is currently without a release date.

Gucci Mane Speaks at Crawford Long Middle School's Career Day In Georgia

Holy poor decisions, Gucci Mane! The Brick Squad Rapper was shaping the youth today as he was the guest speaker at Crawford Long Middle School's Career Day. There are moments in Hip-Hop that just kind of leave you so completely at a loss for words. This is one of those moments. To be fair, La Flare does love the kids; but lets get a quick rundown of just exactly who is talking to the youth of Crawford Long Middle School real quick. The Trap God rapper has crafted some of the most catchy records to ever come out of Atlanta, but has had quite a tough time keeping himself out from under the thumb of "the man" since 2001. He's been convicted on cocaine charges, killed a man in self-defense in 2005, and has been arrested no less than seven times since 2008 for charges ranging from tossing a woman out of a moving vehicle to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Once more, in 2011 A judge in the Superior Court of Georgia's Fulton County ordered the "So Icy" rapper to a psychiatric hospital. His lawyers filed a Special Plea of Mental Incompetency on Dec. 27th of that year, arguing that he is unable “to go forward and/or intelligently participate in the probation revocation hearing. Nevertheless, Gucci is helping shape young minds right now in Georgia as a speaker in a Language Arts class in Georgia as we speak. Anything is possible, America. Anything.

Big Daddy Kane Recalls Record Exec Saying Jay-Z Could Never Make Records

Rakim gets plenty of well deserved credit as one of the Hip-Hop most influential MCs, but never sleep on the Big Daddy Kane. FUSE caught up with the legendary Brooklyn rapper who talked about the joy of seeing Jay-Z, who he helped put on by taking him on tour when he was unknown years ago, become a Hip-Hop great. "I remember shopping Jay-Z music and certain record company execs that I took it to...one said, 'Yes, yes Kane, I understand he can rhyme. Yes he can rhyme, I hear that. But, he could never make records.,'" Kane told FUSE. "I remember another one telling me, 'I like the music but he don't have a look. People are not going to want to see him on the regular.'" The "Ain't No Half Steppin'" rapper added, "[Jay-Z] proved not only them but so many others wrong to become probably the most successful rapper ever. And that I love more than anything because I always felt the dude was talented and he deserved success. He found a way to achieve it. During the time that I was trying to help him achieve it I saw so many people that didn't believe and closed doors. And now, all of those gotta kiss his behind. And I think that's beautiful." Sadly, a lot of those same execs probably still have jobs. Kane also talked about Jay-Z returning the favor and letting him be the sole guest performer during Hova's opening night concert at the Barclays Center last September as well meeting Dave Chappelle, performing at the Hip-Hop Inaugural Ball with MC Lyte and receiving homage from a new generation of MCs. Still making music, Kane recently dropped a DJ Premier produced song called "28 Bars Of Kane" as part of the Jordan Brand's 28 Days of Flight marketing campaign. Watch the entire FUSE interview below.

"Freeway" Ricky Ross Responds To Rapper Rick Ross' Drive-By Shooting Attempt

"Freeway" Ricky Ross says that he's "not surprised" that Rick Ross was the target of a drive-by shooting. Following yesterday morning's incident where rapper Rick Ross crashed his Rolls Royce into a building following a drive-by shooting attempt, "Freeway" Ricky Ross has spoken out on the situtation. Ross, the former drug kingpin said that he's "not surprised" that the assassination attempt occurred because Ross "doesn't understand the street rules." As a consequence, situations like this take place. "I'm not surprised that it happened given recent ongoings, when someone doesn't understand the street rules they get confused and incidents like this can take place," he said. "I'm still dealing with ongoing litigation about something as basic as using my name and identity, that should have been dealt with properly a long time ago. No ill will is wished upon anyone, but when you tell these stories about the streets you have to be careful. We covered it in more depth in the Power of the Name Rick Ross piece." "Freeway" Ricky Ross plans to take the rapper and Warner Bros. Records to court this August in the continuing fight over his name. He previously explained that the Maybach Music Group leader has "exploited and misused [his name] since he went to prison" and "made millions off [of it]."

DNA Test Proves that Future fathered 10 Year Old Boy

Straight out of the Maury Povich files of rap, a DNA test has proven that Future is the father of a ten-year-old boy. According to court documents filed in Georgia, the 29-year-old rapper, singer and songwriter took a DNA test earlier this month which confirmed with 99.9% certainty that the Atlanta hit-maker was the father of the child. Although we can not confirm or deny that Jessica Smith, the mother of Future's son, did anything like this upon receiving the news, the Epic Records artist agreed to be legally recognized as the father and pay $1,662 in child support per month and pay the $889 cost for the DNA test. Future, real name Nayvadius Cash, was sued last year by Smith after claiming the rapper impregnated her back in 2001. The Epic Records signee's sudden rise to prominence last year with the success of singles like "Same Damn Time," "Turn On The Lights," and "Tony Montana," increased the artist's status quo to the tune of a monthly income of $16,516.30; rounding up his yearly income to just under $200,000. Future is currently prepping the release of his sophomore album under Epic Records titled Future Hendrix that will feature guest appearances from Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Drake and Rick Ross.

Incident Involving Chris Brown and Frank Ocean won't Be Pursued as Hate Crime

Chris Brown just caught a major legal break in regards to his situation with Frank Ocean that took place less than 24 hours ago. L.A. County Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore tells Complex.com that the incident that occurred outside of Westlake Studios in Hollywood involving the two will not be pursued as a hate crime. Ocean famously revealed that his first love was a man last summer in a letter he posted on his Tumblr account. Brown is far from being the clear completely. The singer and songwriter is currently over two years into a five-year probation sentence after pleading guilty to a domestic assault on his then-girlfriend, Rihanna. Via Complex: Whitmore is unsure if the actions will affect his probation but says, from past experiences, if an official action is taken—an arrest or charge, although he guesses an arrest would not be made in a misdemeanor case—then the court would look at that, in regards to Brown's probation. And while we're not lawyers, we can assume that this fight with Frank Ocean will most likely violate Brown's probation in some way. Although nobody from neither party was arrested nor taken into custody, Whitmore named Brown as the suspect and Ocean as the alleged victim. Ocean was also taken to a local hospital for minor scratches. Ocean is named as the victim because he was the only involved party stay and take questions from police. Investigators still plan on questioning Brown about the incident.

Ohio Players Leader Leroy "Sugarfoot" Bonner Dead at 69

Leroy “Sugarfoot” Bonner, leader of the legendary Funk band The Ohio Players, passed away over the weekend. A posting on Bonner's Facebook fan page brought forth the unfortunate news on Sunday. From Sugarfoot's Facebook page: Yesterday, Leroy “Sugarfoot” Bonner passed away quietly in his hometown of Trotwood-Dayton, OH. While his family, friends, colleagues, and fans mourn his passing they celebrate fondly his memory, music, and legacy. Sugarfoot, or Foot, or Sugar, was the founding and cornerstone artistic talent of OHIO PLAYERS and the face and sound of the OHIO PLAYERS brand, which he knit together and launched in 1964 with former members of The Ohio Untouchables. With a career spanning 56 years, he passed barely short of his 70th birthday. Bonner, a native of Hamilton, would join The Ohio Players in the late 1960's after working with another band in the town of Dayton, and the group made a splash on the music charts in the 70s with hits like “Love Rollercoaster,” “Skin Tight,” “Fire” and other tracks. Marshall “Rock” Jones, bass player and founding Ohio Players member, is reeling from the loss. “It's kind of crazy. I'm still feeling fragile,” said Jones to the Associated Press. “I sit back now, and it was all a brilliant blaze.” Keith Harrison of Ohio bands FAZE-O and The Dazz Band praised Bonner in an interview with the Dayton Daily News. “He was a great person with a lot of wisdom not just in music, but in life,” said Harrison. “He was an extraordinary person.” Hip-Hop groups owe a great debt to The Ohio Players, as their music helped form the instrumentals for a bevy of classics. A Tribe Called Quest used the Ohio Players track “Ecstasy” for the “Scenario (Remix)” and DJ Clark Kent used another portion when The Notorious B.I.G. joined Jay-Z for their back-and-forth duo “Brooklyn's Finest” on Hov's debut album Reasonable Doubt. Kendrick Lamar (“m.A.A.d City”), Outkast (“Crumblin' Erb”) and De La Soul (“Me Myself and I”) are among many others who have used samples from the Ohio Players vaults. Rest in peace to Leroy “Sugarfoot” Bonner

Rick Ross Shot At Multiple Times while Leaving Birthday Party in Rolls-Royce

This is not the birthday present the Bawse was looking for. According to reports, a vehicle Rick Ross was travelling in last night as he left a birthday celebration was shot at multiple times by currently unknown perpetrators. WSVN TV reports: Fort Lauderdale Police have gathered dozens of bullet casings from Las Olas Boulevard after someone opened fire on a vehicle. According to witnesses, Rapper Rick Ross was inside that vehicle. Several gunshots were heard in the area of 1410 E Las Olas Blvd., around 5 a.m. According to locals, they said Rapper Rick Ross was in the Floridian Restaurant celebrating his Birthday and as he left in his Rolls Royce, someone opened fire. Police have not confirmed this information. The bullets missed the Rolls Royce but the vehicle slammed into the restaurant. Luckily, police said no one was injured by the gunfire. Several businesses in the area were hit by bullets. The vehicle has since been towed from the scene. Yesterday, Ricky Rozay's Twitter feed was full of birthday wishes ( it is actually today, January 28) as the rapper turns 36. According to the news reports (see below), Ross remained on the scene (inside the restaurant) to talk to investigators. The car Ross was travelling was heading east on Las Olas when another vehicle approached and opened fire, reports NBC Miami. The driver of Ross' vehicle tried to speed away but crashed into a building at 311 Southeast 15th Ave. There are unconfirmed reports as to who was in the vehicle with Ross. Last year, Ross received death threats from members of the Gangster Disciples in North Carolina. Although the MMG rapper cancelled a portion of his tour, Rozay insisted it was due to a suspect promoter and not because of intimidation.

Dallas Mavericks' NBDL affiliate looking to Sign Allen Iverson

Those of you who believe Allen Iverson deserves one final shot at the NBA may have your prayers answered very soon. The Texas Legends, the NBDL affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks are lobbying Allen Iverson to try to work his way back to the NBA. Iverson has not played in the NBA since 2009 in a short-lived stint with the Memphis Grizzlies and an even shorter-lived return to the Philadelphia 76ers. That season was followed by an injury-filled stint with Besiktas in Turkey that lasted only 10 games. Iverson has resisted signing for lucrative deals in China because for the past two seasons he has been waiting for one last run at the league where he was the Most Valuable Player in 2001. The Texas Legends have tried all year to sign Iverson, but are ramping up their efforts again now because they've moved back to the top of the list in the D-League's waiver line, meaning they'd have a direct path to signing Iverson if he could be convinced to put his name in the D-League's player pool. A good sign that a return from "The Answer" is closer than ever is when 37-year-old NBA veteran Mike James signed with the Legends and was eventually called up to the Mavericks. James eventually earned two 10-day contracts and now a guaranteed contract throughout the season. Iverson is an 11-time All-Star and ranks 19th on the NBA's all-time scoring list with 24,368 career points. Iverson was 18th before he was passed by Mavericks franchise player, Dirk Nowitzki, this past Sunday.

T.I. and Justin Timberlake Reunite for New Music

Justin Timberlake must've looked at our list of rappers he should collaborate with because he and T.I. are reuniting for new music. Tip revealed to MTV News that he and the Tennessee-born crooner are ready have given it another go. "I spoke to JT. Me, him and Tim[baland] was on the phone," he said. "I did a record for them at the end of last year. They were working on a record together, and I had the pleasure of assisting them on their particular record. I think it's called 'Goodbye Homey,' one of them is, and then there is another one; I did maybe two or three records with them." After more than five years off, Timberlake recently released the single "Suit & Tie," which features Jay-Z. "It's just great that he's back into doing music. The record he has out with Jay right now is phenomenal," Tip added. "It was definitely a sound that was missed." Cassidy to Release EP & Biography with Philadelphia Pastor Jomo Johnson

Since his well publicized beef with Meek Mill, Cassidy has been propelled back into the public eye. Now it's on him to capitalize on his re-found "fame," and thus far some of the Philly MC's decisions have been questionable. We see you "Condom Style." You can be the judge of Cassidy's latest venture with fellow Philadelphia resident, and pastor of Open Air Church, Jomo K. Johnson. The project will be the a rapper/pastor Hip-Hop music collaboration in the form of an EP, from which the proceeds will benefit two Philly based charities, reports HipHop-N-More. Ironically, or not, Johnson is the very same pastor that boycotted Meek Mill, which lead to the infamous heated debate and rift, which was eventually squashed, between the two on Philly's Hot 107.9. Additionally, the "I'm A Hustla" rapper has also partnered with GGIS Publishing to create a biography, which according to him will be an “amazing testimony of finding Christ during his incarceration, a near-fatal car accident, and a commitment to make positive change in his life.” At the moment, Cassidy hasn't divulged a title for either body of work, but both have a release date set for March 30 of this year according to the rapper. More information is forthcoming We're all for progressing as people and getting better with the man upstairs, so we'll limit the slander here. Just don't put out anymore tracks like "Condom Style," man.

American Idol ratings Continue to Drop despite Overhyped Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey Beef

Nick Minaj and Mariah Carey keep on fighting, and viewers aren't really that interested. One week after its season 12 premiere put up the lowest ratings in the show's history, Idol continues to experience a drop in viewership. The first show of week two aired Wednesday (Jan. 23) with the group hitting Baton Rouge, LA. hometown of Idol judge, Randy Jackson. Tuesday's episode grabbed 15.53 million viewers, a 6 percent drop the week before. Minaj and Carey's on-going feud hit a boiling point with the Young Money Rapper storming off set during the episode. After Carey and Jackson passive aggressively mocked her mini-tantrum, the 30-year-old was heard telling the songbird to “Shut the f-ck up.” Numbers from the next night didn't fare much better. Last night's episode was watched by 15.3 million people, easily allowing Fox to win Thursday, due in part to re-runs aired on its competitor CBS. Fox averaged 11.2 million viewers for the night to take first place, with CBS grabbing the second spot. Carey and Minaj once collaborated on a song together but are like oil and water on the judging panel. Given their incessant arguing, the Queens native is worried about what will happen during the live shows, telling talk show host Ellen Degeneres that she “doesn't trust herself.”

Bunny Wailer Threatens to Sue Snoop Lion for Being A Fraudulent Rasta

This is not irie. Snoop Lion is being threatened with a lawsuit by Bunny Wailer. The Reggae legend is accusing the Long Beach rapper recently turned Rasta of perpetrating a fraud to sell records and a movie. Last summer, Snoop Dogg announced he was now going by the Snoop Lion moniker after a long trip to Jamaica led him to an artistic epiphany. His next album, titled Reincarnated (accompanied by movie of the same title documenting his spiritual and musical journey), would be a Reggae project produced by Major Lazer. However, now Wailer believes that Snoop's rapper turned Rasta shtick was just a ruse. TMZ reports: Bunny Wailer -- an original member of Bob Marley and the Wailers -- tells TMZ he's heated about the docu-film "Reincarnated" ... which documented Snoop's immersion in the Rasta culture as he recorded his first reggae album in Jamaica last year. Wailer claims Snoop has engaged in "outright fraudulent use of Rastafari Community's personalities and symbolism" -- and has failed to meet "contractual, moral and verbal commitments." Wailer isn't the only one feeling a ways. The Ethio-Africa Diaspora Union Millennium Council sent Snoop a seven page letter demanding that the rapper stop using the "Snoop Lion" name, make an apology, and of course, fork over some cash that he allegedly promised. TMZ reports that a portion of the letter reads, "smoking weed and loving Bob Marley and reggae music is not what defines the Rastafari Indigenous Culture!" If Snoop... If the artist born Calvin Broadus doesn't adhere to these requests, he will be sued. The "Deep Cover" rapper has yet to comment on this matter.

Steve Harvey Breaks Down In Tears After Birthday Surprise

Steve Harvey has taken his comedic talents to the world of daytime television, but the fast-talking funnyman was nearly rendered silent with emotion on his program last week. Turning 56 on January 17, a special taping of the Steve Harvey Show featured the host warning his producer and audience that he didn't want any surprises on his big day. Luckily, his crew ignored his requests because it connected him with an old friend that helped him in his early days. After showing a split screen of Harvey and an older gentleman, the comedian known for his boisterous laugh was reduced to grown man sobs. "This is Rich Liss from Orlando, Florida," the man said onscreen. "Do you still love me, baby?” Although it looked like the Think Like A Man author was set to launch into his typical routine, he began to cry as he finally responded to his friend. Harvey then explained the connection. Before making it as a comedian, Harvey owned a small carpet business and Liss and his partner gave him his first shot. “I was 26 years old, struggling, I didn't have nothing and these people owned a furniture store in Cleveland and these people took me in and gave me my first contract with my little carpet cleaning company,” shared Harvey. After starting his comedy career, Harvey didn't have the money to travel so Liss gave him an account with his travel agency and he amassed a huge bill in the process. Although there wasn't a dry eye in the studio audience, Harvey didn't let the moment go by without cracking wise. “I got money now, Rich!” said Harvey, who then invited Liss and his partner Becky to the program in Chicago. Excuse us. We have a little something in our eye now. Check out the emotional reunion between Steve Harvey and Rich Liss below.

Pregnant Stripper Brawls with another Dancer over $1 Bill

Times for exotic dancers must be really hard in Wisconsin. Two strippers were involved in fisticuffs while onstage last week at a club over the whopping amount of one dollar. To add an interesting wrinkle to the story, one woman was said to be pregnant. According to local news site Postcrescent.com, the fight took place at the Silk Exotic club after a customer attempted to tip one dancer with a single when another dancer snatched it up for herself. From there the women got physical and dragged one another to the floor of the stage, reportedly beating each other and pulling hair. It took customers and other dancers to split the dueling pole athletes apart before authorities reached the establishment to cool things down. Although it wasn't clear who started the fight, what was alarming was news that one of the women is pregnant. Both women received citations for disorderly conduct, a rare occasion at the adult establishment according to the police. “I was surprised by this as we seldom receive calls for service from this business. This is a rare exception,” said Dodge County Sherriff Todd Nehls. Pregnant women working at the shake club must also be the norm as well, apparently. Juicy J may need to remix his Gold-selling hit single “Bandz A Make Her Dance” to “George Washingtons A Make Them Scrap” in the near future.

Wife of Patriots WR Wes Welker calls Ray Lewis a Murderer in Facebook Rant

Not everybody is happy future NFL Hall Of Famer, Ray Lewis, is getting his final game in the Super Bowl. You can start right across the field of his opponents last night. The hate wasn't coming from an actual opposing player, which would be understandable, it is coming from an opposing player's wife. New England Patriots Pro Bowl wide receiver, Wes Welker, played a good game last night despite dropping a big pass that would've turned the game. His wife, Anna Burns Welker, took to Facebook after his playoff run ended to congratulate him on a great season but to toss some dirt on Ray's name. "Proud of my husband and the Pats,” Burns Welker wrote. “By the way, if anyone is bored, please go to Ray Lewis' Wikipedia page. 6 kids, 4 wives. Acquitted for murder. Paid a family off. Yay. What a hall of fame player! A true role model!" Lewis announced prior to the playoffs that this upcoming playoff run would be his last. The linebacker, was on trial for murder in 2000, took a plea deal and was found guilty of Obstruction of Justice. The following year, he took his Ravens to their first and only Super Bowl victory as the game's MVP. Lewis will get a chance to finish his career in a similar fashion while Welker will wonder if he is still a Patriot after the season as his contract is up. #SucksToBeAPatsFan.

Making matters worse, she demanded to have the names of all the women he allegedly cheated with. A.I. was allowed to keep his Georgia mansion, but given his financial issues, that's not a big win. The sale of the house came over a year after his $3.8 million Denver home met a similar fate.

The ex-files have been opened, and Brooke Crittendon is stepping out to tell her story. Crittendon dated Kanye West from 2004-2006 and in an interview with UK newspaper The Sun, she expressed no surprise that her former beau ended up with Kim Kardashian, and believes that Jay-Z has something to do with why she's pregnant. Having heard him bring Kardashian up in the past, Crittendon alleged that West wants the reality star because she's desired by so many men. "There's Halle Berry, J-Lo and Beyoncé but they are all taken. She [Kardashian] fits into his brand," the 31-year-old said. Together for two-and-a-half years, Crittendon is an aspiring actress, and said that Yeezy always had a fetish for curvy women with brunette hair. She also believes that he watched the dirty tape that launched Kardashian's career. "I know he has had a thing with her for a while. I'm sure he watched her tape. After we broke up, we caught up as friends and he mentioned her, I knew something was there." In regards to the forthcoming bundle of joy, Crittendon thinks the child will fulfill both of their needs. "She wanted kids and it's his legacy." Apparently, Yeezy's big brother relationship with Jay-Z, and the birth of Blue Ivy Carter, was even more motivation to get Kardashian pregnant. "He admired Jay-Z and they are very close," Crittendon added. "Over the years Jay has been a role model to him. Whether it is starting to be more mature, taking chances with clothes or getting married and starting a family, ultimately he takes those cues from Jay." West and Crittendon broke up due to his reported infidelity. Yet during their time together, the 33-year-old was "insecure," and refused to perform until he knew his girl was on the side of the stage. After the split, West hooked up with Alexis Phifer with whom he became engaged in 2008. Once their union was done, he started dating Amber Rose for two years. Rose is now engaged to, and pregnant by, Wiz Khalifa. Their baby is due in just over a month.

Lupe Fiasco Thrown off Stage After Delivering Anti-Obama Views

Lupe Fiasco's political views got him thrown out of his own show Sunday (Jan. 20). The Chicago native went on an anti-Obama rant, and reportedly played music sharing said views for 30 minutes. When he refused to go on to another song, security kicked him off stage. Fiasco was performing at the Hamilton in Washington D.C. just ahead of President Obama's inauguration festivities to be held tomorrow. According to reporter Josh Rogin, things quickly went left (no pun) for the rap star. "Lupe Fiasco just got thrown off stage here at the Hamilton Live after he went on an anti-Obama diatribe mid set," Rogan tweeted. "So Lupe played one anti-war song for 30 min and said he didn't vote for Obama and eventually was told to move on to the next song. Lupe refused to move to the next song so a team of security guards came on stage and told him to go." Fiasco is very comfortable expressing his disdain for the commander in chief and has verbalized his views on several occasions. Last summer he blamed the president for killing little children, after ordering drone attacks, claims of which have yet to be substantiated by Obama or the CIA. On the music side of things, he's decided to halt the 2013 release of his Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album until further notice.

Ice-T responds to Latest Coco Photo Scandal,Calls the Media Trolls

Ice T will defend the love of his life until the very end. The rapper-turned-actor has been mostly silent on his wife, Coco's latest photo scandal, but has once again used Twitter as his bull horn. In a non-specific post put up earlier in the week he blasted the media (of course) for reporting on the story. “Daily Game: Bloggers/Media = MEGA TROLLS.” Yeah, okay. As previously reported, Coco posed for inappropriate flicks with a Bay Area rapper. The whole thing blew up online, with Ice spilling out his emotions via Twitter. Within days, the buxom blonde smoothed things over with her better half, and the couple was seen partying together in Las Vegas together for New Year's Eve. Just when things appeared to be smoothed over, more images of the 32-year-old and yet another man (palming her backside) hit the ‘Net. A message, allegedly sent by Coco, asking for the photos to be removed also found its way to the public. In related news, Coco hasn't said anything about the potentially embarrassing situation, and may be basking in the added media clips since she is headlining a show in Las Vegas, and could be happy about the heightened attention.

Former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin Indicted On 21 Counts Of Corruption

Ray Nagin, the former mayor of New Orleans, was indicted on charges of fraud, bribery, and other felonies, earlier today. A federal grand jury nabbed Nagin on 21 corruption charges, including six counts of bribery, nine counts of deprivation of honest services through wire fraud, four counts of filing false tax returns, and one count each of conspiracy and money laundering. According to former technology official Greg Meffert, Nagin had been waiting for two years to face the charges, and pleaded guilty in 2010 to allegations of taking bribes in exchange for extending business contracts in the direction of businessman Mark St. Pierre. The charges were brought to the political figure after months of investigations by federal prosecutors. Key witnesses, like businessman Rodney Williams, helped to bring Nagin down. Last fall, Williams admitted to making $60,000 worth of payments, to an unidentified public official— believed to be Nagin—in 2008. The payoffs were made in exchange for having business steered towards his company. Nagin and his sons, Jeremy and Jarin owned the counter top company, Stone Age LLC. Both Jeremy and Jarin appeared before a grand jury last fall but were not said to be targeted in the investigation. Once a cable executive, Nagin became mayor of New Orleans in 2002, and held the position until 2010. In 2005, he became the media point person in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, the catastrophic natural disaster that displaced hundreds of thousands of resident, and killed more than 1,500 people.

Chamillionaire Announces New "Elevate"EP Reveals Cover Art & Release Date

Chamillionaire took to his personal website today to announce the news of an upcoming EP titled 'Elevate'. Its been a while since we've heard a full project from Chamillionaire, but that should all change soon as he announced earlier today that he has a new project coming for us next month titled Elevate. The Houston rapper took to his personal website to reveal the artwork for the EP along with a release date. Chamillionaire is doing something a little different for this EP however, and had this to say about it: "I will be releasing a new EP called ELEVATE on FEB 12th on www.chamillionaire.com. The first 500 copies will be autographed and each autographed copy will be numbered. That means if you receive the 7th cd it will say 7/500 on it. There will ONLY be 500 autographed copies. I will only press up 1000 CDs total (Maybe I will make more later but if so I probably won't make them available until later after the next one comes out). This way would make the amount of volume I have to ship easier for me to control. The CDs will ship on Monday February 11th and will release on Feb 12th. Elevate will have real songs on it and will probably have about 7 songs." Chamillionaire mentions that the autographed copies will probably be sold out quickly and suggests anyone interested in the signature copy to jump on that now. This will be just one of many EP's that Chamillionaire is planning on dropping leading up to his 'Poison' album. Pre-orders can be made here.

Meek Mill's Lawyer says rapper is victim of Racial Profiling

Meek Mill isn't taking what he considers to be "harassment" unjust treatment from Philadelphia police lightly. After claiming that he was falsely imprisoned, the MMG artist filed a lawsuit against the City of Philadelphia and two police officers, while the rapper's lawyer believes it's a clear case of racial profiling. As Hip-Hop Wired previously reported, last year, on Halloween night, Meek was detained by police in Philadelphia. According to his lawyer Dennis J. Cogan, Meek was only stopped and held because of the color of his skin, and his celebrity. “This is a problem that we have all over the country, particularly in the inner cities, and we know what happens, unfortunately,” Cogan tells Hip-Hop Wired. “This would have never have happened in certain neighborhoods. [It's] just a guy driving an SUV in the inner city. He's Black; he's got two other Black men with him. One is an off duty cop from Ft. Lauderdale who was moonlighting, acting as a body guard, and the other one was a Senior Vice President from Warner Bros., so you're dealing with legitimate people.” According to Cogan, Meek and company were killing time before catching a private jet to Atlanta. Due to Hurricane Sandy, they were unable to catch a commercial flight for a scheduled date in Atlanta to help promote the rapper's just released debut album, Dreams and Nightmares. Meek, born Robert Williams, was stopped while driving a Range Rover SUV but was not asked any questions. A K-9 unit was called onto the scene to search the vehicle for drugs (none were found). Cogan also asserts that they have a copy of the police transmission where the dispatcher asks why the drug sniffing dog was requested, but at the time the officers did not provide an answer. Meek was taken into custody and the authorities later claimed to have smelled m@rijuana. “That's the usual game that's played, and you can quote me on that,” says Cogan. Meek was released at 4:30 a.m. and was not charged with a crime. Cogan goes on to allege that besides photos that made it onto Instagram, officers also took video of Meek while he was being held. The entire incident hit Meek were it would hurt him most: his wallet. “So, he misses his flight to Atlanta, which cost him,” explains Cogan. “[Meek] had a charter, 26-27 thousand dollars that he lost, and he couldn't make the concert in Atlanta later that night. And I think it was like 50 thousand dollars for his appearance in Atlanta that he didn't make, and that's just the beginning of it. You see what the damages are.” Meek's lawsuit was filed yesterday in Federal Court. How much money he is seeking in damages has not been provided at this time. Besides the financial hit, the “Amen” rapper was none too pleased about the incident's effect on his image, too. “He talked about how upset he was that when the cops stopped him, there were kids out there seeing him handcuffed, and people are screaming out…they knew who he was,” says Cogan. “Now you can imagine that people [who] are going to be booking him in the future have to be looking at whether or not he can be relied upon to show up; whether or not if he's going to be confined to Philadelphia, where he's been on probation for a number of years anyway. Whether he's going to be able to leave because of this latest incident whenever he can, whenever he wants. So it really has had an effect on him that's cost him money.”

Chief Keef Sentenced to 2 Months in Jail for Probation Violation

Chief Keef has been sentenced to two months at the Illinois Youth Center in St. Charles, Illinois. for a violation of his probation. According to Idris "Peeda Pan" Abdul Wahid, a member of the rapper's management team, Keef; real name Keith Cozart, began serving his time immediately after sentencing this afternoon. "I think that overall we would have preferred for him not to have to sit down for a single day," Peeda told Complex. "Overall, I think it's the best decision to satisfy everybody. The City of Chicago got what they want... We done been to hell and back already, so s**t ain't nothing." According to reports from the Chicago-Sun Times was that the rapper tearfully pleaded with Judge Carl Anthony Walker not to sentence him to juvenile detention but the judge said he could not tolerate the teen's “ blatant violations of the court's order. However, Andrew Barber of FakeShoreDrive state that a source inside of the courtroom said it was Keef's mother who was crying and not the rapper. The rapper was convicted of a parole violation on Tuesday, after he was filmed holding a rifle at a gun range during an interview with Pitchfork.TV. Handling firearms was a violation of his probation.

Uncle Luke Calls Spike Lee a "Scheming Uncle Tom" for Django Unchained Critique

Not that Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell has anything to do with Django Unchained, but he's still pretty upset at Spike Lee for blasting the film. Campbell penned an opinion editorial for the Miami Times and lashed out at the acclaimed director's views, while praising Django-director Quentin Tarantino for his “brilliant” project. “Screw Spike Lee,” Campbell writes. “Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained is a brilliant flick that more accurately depicts the African American experience than any of the 15 movies about black culture Lee's directed in his lifetime. It's why the movie took home a Golden Globe award for best screenplay over the weekend and why it was recently nominated for four Academy Awards, including Best Picture.” According to the one-time Miami mayoral candidate—known for his explicit music, videos, and adult films—the Brooklyn native is just jealous. “Lee needs to get over himself. He's upset because Tarantino makes better movies. The man who put Malcolm X on the big screen is Hollywood's resident house negro; a bougie activist who wants to tell his fellow white auteurs how they can and can't depict African Americans. “He complains that Tarantino uses 'n*gger"'too much (100 times) in Django Unchained, but show me a white man in the 1800s who wasn't dropping n-bombs left and right.” Campbell closes out his overly emotional rant by concluding that Lee is mad that Samuel L. Jackson's character is a “conniving and scheming Uncle Tom,” just like him.

Love & Hip Hop New York Cast Members Booted From Show Amid Underage Assault Allegations?

If you watched the second episode of Love & Hip Hop New York, then you may have noticed that cast member Mandeecees Harris and his girl, Yandy Smith, were missing in action. Rumor has it that they've been axed from the show amid allegations that Harris s-xually assaulted a teen girl. Harris is on trial for receiving oral pleasure from a then 15-year-old girl, in 2009 and 2010. The 35-year-old father is also accused of fondling the youngster, and faces up to 20 years in prison. Producers of LHHNY are said to be scrambling to edit footage from the current season, removing both Harris and Smith. Their storyline had been teased on VH1 and was based around the birth of their now 6-month-old son, and Smith's desire to get married to Harris. The couple has yet to release a statement on the allegations and have pretty much gone silent on social media since news of the inappropriate encounter with the underage girl was unearthed, last week. Harris owns the Beat Factory studio in the Bronx and recently joined the reality show, which added a bunch of new members to its cast including Joe Budden, whose relationship and drug abuse struggles have been chronicled on the show.

Conrad Bain aka Phillip Drummond from TV's A Diff'rent Strokes Dead at age 89

Actor Conrad Bain, most famous for playing the adoptive father of "Arnold Jackson" (Gary Coleman) on 80's sitcom Diff'rent Strokes has passed away. He was 89 years-old. TMZ reports: Bain family sources tell TMZ, Bain died Monday night at a retirement home in Livermore, CA. So far, details surrounding his death are unclear. We spoke with Bain's daughter Jennifer who tells us, "He was an amazing person. He was a lot like Mr. Drummond, but much more interesting in real life. He was an amazing father." Bain -- who became a household name starring opposite Gary Coleman and Todd Bridges on the iconic 80s series -- is survived by his three sons and one daughter. He also has a surviving twin brother Bonar Bain. Reportedly Bridges, who played Arnold's older brother, Willis Jackson, on Diff'rent Strokes, is "inconsolable." "I am deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Conrad as we were looking forward to celebrating his 90th birthday next month," Bridges told TMZ. Too many members of the cast of the 80's series have already passed away. Coleman died in 2010 from complications from a head injury in 2010 (he was 44) and Dana Plato, who played Kimberly Drummond died of a drug overdose in 1999 at the age of 34. Diff'rent Strokes aired for eight seasons between 1978 and 1986. The show left an indelible imprint on Pop culture, including Hip-Hop culture. The Notorious B.I.G. mentioned about an infamously unseen character from the show, "The Gooch," in his verse on Craig Mack's "Flava In Ya Ear (Remix)" in 1994.

Andre 3000 Says Recent Songs With Big Boi are "Not Outkast Collaborations"

For fans who hoped that Frank Ocean's remix of “Pink Matter” featuring verses from Outkast rappers Andre 3000 and Big Boi signified a reunion, their dreams have been dashed once more. The enigmatic 3 Stacks said that the recent pairing of with his longtime rap partner does not mean the legendary group has reunited. The “Hey Ya!” rapper sent an exclusive statement to SPIN to effectively squash all rumors that the legendary Atlanta-based duo were at least on on the heels of making a triumphant return. Andre 3000's statement via SPIN: It's important for me to be clear about the origins of my contributions to 'Pink Matter' and 'Sorry.' I was approached as a solo artist by both Frank Ocean & Tip. I discussed musical direction with each artist and completed my verses. It was after that when Big Boi's name came up. I never want to mislead our audience - I worried that some would think these were Outkast collaborations. These songs are not Outkast collaborations. I discussed this rationale with Big, Frank and T.I. and everyone agreed. That is why I was surprised to read about these remixes. I understand that anyone can put out an unofficial remix to any song but I have an obligation to be honest with fans about what this is … and what it isn't. While his frustrations are certainly valid, it appears that if an Outkast reunion were to happen it would be Andre 3000 with the final say.

Quentin Tarantino Uses The “N-Word” After Winning Golden Globe

Quentin Tarantino won the Best Screenplay award at the Golden Globes Sunday (Jan. 13), but the big news is that the acclaimed director spewed the “n-word” while speaking to reports. When asked of his controversial slave film Django Unchained, and the excessive use of the racial epithet, he decided to drop the n-bomb to get his point across. “If somebody is out there actually saying when it comes to the word ‘ni**er,' the fact that I was using it in the movie more than it was being used in the antebellum South in Mississippi, then feel free to make that case,” he said, potentially making the media incredibly uncomfortable. “They are saying I should lie, that I should whitewash, that I should massage, and I never do that when it comes to my characters.” According to reports, the room went silent after Tarantino used the word. Tarantino's film has been plagued by controversy since the start. Aside from the subject matter, and the word-use, a collection of Django action figures did little to calm the opposition. Yet all of the attention has helped propel the film past the $100 million mark, as it has remained on the Top 10 box office list since its release on Christmas Day.

T.I. Says He Is Still "King Of The South"

Hear ye, hear ye, minions. The Kang of the South still wants you to know who runs this thing. T.I. recently spoke to Hip-Hop Wired and had to lay down the law of the land fresh off of the success of his latest album, Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head. The album has sold 288,000 copies to date and debuted #2 on the Billboard charts, second only to Taylor Swift. Has the success of the album as well as the show, The Family Hustle, re-established Tip as the Kang? Well according to him, the crown never went anywhere. "I mean, I don't even think it's about re-establishing myself as the King of the South," says T.I. "To be honest with you, the fact is "The King Of The South" was a position created by T.I. If T.I. brought this title into fruition only T.I. can give that position away. If there was a predecessor before who was the King of the South before T.I. and had made that statement and justified it, and I came along and earned that title and it had been passed from someone, fine. But that title was created by T.I," the Kang proclaims. Although the incredibly confident mogul/rapper knows he's back on top now, he knows that his crown was up for grabs at one point. The fact is, to him, nobody took it. "That's what solidifies myself as the King of the South. There's people that sell more records right now," says the "Trap Back Jumpin" rapper. "You've got Lil' Wayne, arguably one of the greatest of the game. I can't take nothing away from him. I salute him. Cash Money, Drake, Nicki, none of em. I have a great working relationship with Cash Money and Young Money, however, I offer something different. I offer the game something different. In my hiatus, if somebody could have taken that spot from me I would have nothing to come back to. So obvious there is something T.I. offers the game that nobody else can offer. That's what solidifies my position as the "King of the South."

Jay-Z & Beyoncé Purchase $80K Barbie Doll For Blue Ivy, Throw $200K Birthday Party

Blue Ivy Carter's birthday party cost more than a house (in some areas), but when you're the spawn of music royalty, no expense can be spared. In celebration of their daughter's first year of life, Beyoncé and Jay-Z held a $200,000 party for their first born, and gifted her with an $80,000 Barbie doll. The UK Sun reports that The Carters threw BIC a princess-themed party in New York, spending nearly $100,000 on roses, and over $2,000 on a cake, while guests gave her $30,000 in gifts. As for the expensive Barbie, the price tag was upped due to the customized doll's white gold and diamond-encrusted jewelry, and other features. The family also went on vacation to the Bahamas and posted photos of the baby on their respective social media pages. With a networth well above the $100 million mark, Hov and his better half shell out tons of ends to make sure Blue Ivy has the best. The family's suite at Barclays Center has been turned into a partial nursery, and runs the couple $1 million a year. But Blue isn't the only one who gets expensive gifts. For his birthday, last month, Beyoncé bought Jay a $5 million Hublot Big Bang watch.

Pharrell Williams files $5 Million Lawsuit over Qream Liquor Deal

Pharrell Williams joined a list of entertainers who've entered the liquor game. But the venture appears bumpy after the producer filed a lawsuit against the company responsible for distributing his brand for $5 million. A report from AllHipHop reveals that the Neptunes producer filed a lawsuit via the Pharrell Williams PW Licensing LLC company against Diageo North America over a deal to market and distribute Williams' Q Qream liquor. Entered last week in Manhattan federal court, the lawsuit alleges that Diageo has failed on their agreement to produce and promote the liquor. Noted in the filing, Williams was told by Diageo in July 2012 that they were shutting down production of the brand abruptly after building the business over a two-year span. Williams further claims that sales of Q Qream were low because it was depicted as a “club drink” versus the “high-end, leisure class” drink it was intended to be. Williams said he was “inspired by royalty” to create “this silky drink to celebrate the beautiful, independent and sophisticated women of today” according to a description found on the Q Qream website. The lawsuit also claims that Diageo sold poorly manufactured bottles of Q Qream, which then turned bar owners and consumers away from purchasing the liquor. Williams seeks $5 million in damages.

New Pics Emerge of Another Man Grabbing Coco's Backside

According to Hollywood Street King (HSK), Coco was allegedly up to no good the night that pictures were taken of her cuddled up next to rapper AP.9. There were various pics that hit the web of Coco posing with AP.9 inside of a nightclub, which were in essence very inappropriate considering the fact that she is married to Ice-T. Now a new photo has come forth from that very night of Coco cuddled up with a man named Mustafa Abdi, a.k.a. Moose Diesel, inside of the same nightclub where she was photographed with AP.9. The real problem with this new picture is that is Coco poking her butt out towards the camera while Moose grabs it with his left hand. Apparently he posted the picture on his Twitter account and she tried to DM (direct message) him, asking him to take the picture down, but he refused and slayed her and Ice T a bit in the process. AP.9 apparently spoke to HSK exclusively, claiming that he and Coco really did share an intimate night together despite the fact that Coco has been denying anything further went on besides them taking pictures. "I took Coco out on a date to Haze nightclub. She brought some friends...some of the crew from Ice Loves Coco even showed up too! We had a steamy one night stand. I hate being called a liar...cuz I'm not." Rumors have also spread that multiple pictures of Coco and AP.9 along with a polygraph test (lie detector test) results are currently being shopped around to various media outlets. We'll have to wait and see if there is any truth to these claims from AP.9. Hopefully no further photographs will surface of Coco in suspect situations with other men.

2 Chainz "Guy Code" to The Studio Session

2 Chainz and Groove Chambers of 3 Little Digs drop knowledge this week on The Week In Jams. As the new season of Guy Code approaches, the two talk about the Guy Code of studio etiquette. Aside from the obvious, the two harped on the member of the entourage that always has his camera phone out and unknowingly dry snitches on the crew. You know that guy. "There's always that one dude always taking pics, you know that's cool," says Groove. "Then what he do? He don't take it to the next level," adds 2 Chainz. "Twitter is the devil, and Instagram is the devil's son-in-law." The two go on to mention how Instagramming a studio session, especially one with a bunch of females in there, will usually lead to a lot of unnecessary questioning and nagging from the old ball and chain when you get home. "How was the studio session, was their girls there? You sure there wasn't girls there?" 2 Chainz says in a really raspy womanly voice. This funny sketch is one of the many you can expect when the new season of Guy Code premiers on Tuesday January 15th on MTV and MTV2.

Beyonce releases new Trailer for her HBO Documentary "Life Is But A Dream"

Lil Twist announced a partnership with headphones company Nikura USA during a stop at the Computer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, yesterday.
