Juicy J "Stay Trippy" Release Date
Project Pat and The Weeknd, Young Jeezy and Berner will be on Juicy J's third solo album, "Stay Trippy."
Three 6 Mafia/Hypnotized Minds emcee/producer Juicy J has been hard at work on his first album with Taylor Gang Records for over a year. The Memphis, Tennessee musical icon and Academy Award-winner's third solo album, Stay Trippy finally has a release date.
Juicy was interviewed by Fly Times Daily, and said that his follow-up to 2009's Hustle Til I Die will release on July 2. The album is believed to be distributed by Columbia Records, where Three 6 Mafia has been signed since releasing Da Unbreakables, a decade ago.
In addition to Taylor Gang general Wiz Khalifa, HotNewHipHop.com reports that confirmed guests include Young Jeezy, Project Pat, Chris Brown, The Weeknd, and Big Sean. At present, there is no world on if Juicy's remaining Three 6 band-mate is involved as a producer or guest on Stay Trippy.
Lil Reese Found Sleeping In Car, Arrested On A Warrant
Chicago, Illinois' rapper Lil Reese was arrested on a warrant stemming from 2012 charges of trespassing, mob action and battery.
Chicago, Illinois rapper Lil Reese was arrested over the weekend after authorities found the young artist sleeping in a vehicle. He was arrested on a warrant.
According to The Chicago Tribune, Reese's warrant was issued last week. It reportedly stems from February 2012. The warrant is linked to charges of criminal trespass into a residence with people in it. The charges are also connected to "mob action and battery," according to the paper.
Reese was found sleeping in a car at 4 a.m. on Sunday. He is being held on a $100,000 bond.
In May 2010, Reese pleaded guilty to burglary charges and was given two years of probation, according to court documents. Earlier this month, Reese was charged with driving without insurance, driving without a driver's license and he was given a traffic violation for not signaling. In the past, Reese has also apologized for a video, which surfaced online, containing footage of him assaulting a woman.
Lil Reese made a name for himself in the music industry as a guest on Chief Keef's "I Don't Like." He became a Def Jam signee in 2012. “Lil Reese brings a gritty, authentic perspective to life on the streets of Chicago,” Def Jam president Joie Manda said in a statement after the signing. “Artists like Reese are part of our lifeblood here at Def Jam, where we not only cherish our heritage as the definitive label in Hip Hop, but seek out, sign and develop the freshest talent our culture has to offer.”

Ice Cube Provides Update On N.W.A. Movie, Current Relationship With Dr. Dre
Ice Cube gives a glimpse at what will be covered in the N.W.A. documentary, while dismissing imitators.
As he prepares to release his tenth solo full-length, Everythang's Corrupt, Ice Cube spoke about his music, film and endorsement career with The L.A. Weekly.
During the interview, Cube was pressed about his relationship with N.W.A. band-mate, Dr. Dre. Throughout the last 27 years, the pair have maintained a curious history. Once in "the world's most dangerous group" together, they were quick to diss each other in 1990 and 1991, during Cube's departure from the group and Ruthless Records. The Boyz N' The Hood star famously made a cameo in Dr. Dre's own solo breakout The Chronic, in the "Let Me Ride" video. In the decade that followed, the pair would collaborate on "Natural Born Killaz," an early glimpse at the later-shelved Helter Skelter collaborative album. At the turn of the millennium, the two reunited once again, with MC Ren and Snoop Dogg (n/k/a Snoop Lion), in a two-song attempted re-vamp of N.W.A.
During the 2000s, again, Cube and Dre have had periods of promoting an association, before bouts apart.
Pressed about his current correspondence with his Compton, California friend Dr. Dre, Cube replied, "[We talk] every now and then. We're trying to put this N.W.A. movie together. This is the real one."
As for which film Cube was dismissing, it remains to be specified. There are two documentaries in production regarding the life of Eazy-E and his Ruthless Records label, where both Dre and Cube were once artists. One film is allegedly going to produced by Eazy's daughter. Cube did stress that his F. Gary Gray-directed biopic in pre-production is the only authentic account of the group. "That other [N.W.A.-related film] that you heard about was bullshit. This is the official one. We're taking it to the nooks and crannies, I think deeper than any other article or documentary on the group. These are the intimate conversations that helped forge N.W.A. To me I think its interesting to anybody who loves that era and I don't know any other movie where you can mix Gangster Rap, the FBI, L.A. riots, HIV, and fucking feuding with each other. This movie has everything from Darryl Gates and the battering ram."
The full, three-page interview with Ice Cube is available at The L.A. Weekly.

Wu-Tang Clan Affiliate Shyheim Arrested on Gun & Drug Charges
Troubled rapper Shyheim Franklin began his career at the age of 14 as a young affiliate of the Wu-Tang Clan back in the 1990s. The former "Rugged Child" is now in his 30s and has endured some legal issues along the way. Last week, Shyheim was arrested on felony and gun charges after police raided his apartment.
This marks the second time the "On and On" rapper has been arrested over possessing a firearm.
According to the Staten Island Advance, a raid conducted early last Friday (April 19) morning by the Staten Island Gang Squad yielded a loaded .32 revolver hidden inside a sock. Further search of his home turned up 41 glassines of heroin, a scale and empty plastic bags indicative of a small-time drug operation. Because of Shyheim 's criminal past, the discovery of the gun and drugs will certainly hinder his defense.
The former TV and film actor was arraigned last Saturday (April 20) in Stapleton Criminal Court on second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance charges according to reports from the district attorney. Shyheim is being held at Rikers on $10,000 bond and appeared in court on Tuesday although further details are still developing.
In 2002, the "Shaolin" nativewas arrested on second-degree robbery and gun charges thus serving 16 months. Back in 1999, a 15-year-old boy was shot at a Stapleton nightclub that was hosting a release party for one of his albums.

Wiz Khalifa & Curren$y "Live In Concert" EP Stream
Those who missed Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y drop their Live In Concert EP on 4/20 are in luck, because the duo generously provided a free stream on YouTube.
Within the first few tracks, you'll totally understand why the project saw delays due to issues with sample clearances. Sonically, Khalifa and Spitta blew the dust off your pop's old vinyl collection to craft these hits, a lot of which have a Jazz and Funk influences. Think of the musicality of someone like Bob James and pair that with the smoothness of Earth, Wind & Fire.
The EP's introductory song "Cabana" sets the tone perfectly for the two MCs to kick the modern day player lines the've become known for. We have to applaud the Taylor Gang and Jet Life representers for their timing too. Live In Concert is comprised of straight spring/summer cookout tunes. You can't be mad at that.
Khalifa has to bring out Curren$y a few nights on the "Under the Influence of Music" tour. We deserve to hear these tracks live. We're talking full band and everything.
Hear Live In Concert for yourself below and purchase here on iTunes for support..
Raekwon Speaks on Wu-Tang Clan Reunion Album, Unreleased ODB Tracks and More
Raekwon has been on a tear lately, dropping consistent heat rocks and leaving his much younger competition in the dust. After two decades in the game, the Chef is reuniting with his Wu-Tang Clan brothers for the upcoming 20th anniversary album, A Better Tomorrow.
Raekwon chopped it up with Sermon's Domain over the weekend after rocking a set at Coachella and dropped some thoughts, including not knowing the name of the upcoming Clan record.
“For that particular title right there, I didn't have no knowledge of that,” says Raekwon. “I found out like a fan too, but RZA, that's the Abbot and he do what he do. I liked the title overall. Titles can change anytime anyway.”
Rae knows that fans are expecting a lot out of the Wu with A Better Tomorrow, and he explains that he and his crew are going in with the best intentions.
“It gotta be a hit, it gotta be a smasher,” he explained. “ The 20-year balance, it's balanced itself out. It's time for another record. That's why business is so adamant.”
This fall will mark nine years since the passing of popular clansman Ol' Dirty Bastard. Rae was pressed on whether or not ODB will have some possible verses from the vaults make it on the album. "Yo, it's a lot of things in the archives, things I haven't even seen yet," answered Rae.
Check out the rest of the interview below where Raekwon speaks on a possible Wu-Tang Clan tour, a new solo record and more.

Kendrick Lamar & Black Hippy Cover Respect Magazine
Black Hippy is easily one of the hottest and most talented rap crews in the game. The Top Dawg Entertainment team is Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, Jay Rock and ScHoolBoy Q, and they are on the cover of the latest RESPECT magazine.
Also featured in the issue is Nicki Minaj, Kid Cudi, Big Sean, Common and more. Last year, Ab-Soul was adamant that there would be no Black Hippy compilation album, but we just don't believe. At least, we don't want to.
Kendrick should be getting used to the attention; he just graced the cover of VIBE magazine. Ab-Soul and ScHoolBoy Q recently graced the cover of XXL magazine Freshman 2013 issue. That means all the member of Black Hippy are now XXL Freshman alumni. Not a bad percentage at all.
The last issue of RESPECT featured Lil Wayne on its cover. The new issue of of RESPECT, that would be Vol. 4 Issue 3, is on newsstands April 30. Check out the full cover on the next page.

50 Cent Says He Has No Desire To Meet His Biological Father

Skull Gang's Hynief Explains Why He Hemmed Up JoJo Simmons
First and foremost, let's not let these shenanigans end with someone getting seriously hurt. Over the weekend, JoJo Simmons became the topic of conversation for all the wrong reasons when an image of him getting yoked up by Skull Gang member Hynief made it onto the Internets. Now, Hynief is explaining his side of story.
Earlier this week, Simmons commented on the incident on video, forgoing any talk of retaliation to say, "All I been around is money all my life. I aint' been around that thug or that gun sh-t all my life, that's not what I do. What I do is I count money, and I f-ck b-tches, and I travel the world, and that's what I do. I'm not on that violent sh-t."
True indeed.
We'll keep the gist of this tomfoolery to a limit by giving you a quick run down of Hynief's commentary.
Yes, he is down with Skull Gang but he is also "doing his own thing," which is a mixtape called No Favors, coming soon.
As he stated on Instagram, Hynief gives no f-cks who JoJo's daddy or uncle and also doesn't care about getting blackballed by the music industry.
Juelz didn't sanction JoJo getting run up on, Hynief says he just reacted.
Hynief says he didn't punch JoJo, but he did "rough the lil ni--a up a little bit."
He does not consider himself Juelz Santana's "goon." Juelz is his "brother."
Apparently, Hynief called Juelz while simultaneously having JoJo in a headlock.
Hynief and the dudes with him in the video (the Money Island Mafia), who look like they are about that life, give no f-cks about what the Crips were saying in JoJo's video.
Also worth noting, we still don't know who JoJo was calling.

Styles P "Float" Album Release Party in NYC [Video Footage]
Styles P celebrated the release of his new solo album Float, entirely produced by Scram Jones, at BB Kings in New York City. The Yonkers native could have easily taken the party to someone's VIP section, be he instead took the stage at the legendary venue to perform a bevy of tracks, both old and new. Luckily for us, XclusizesZone was there with a camera in hand to capture the experience.
Sheek Louch joined SP The Ghost to play hype man when needed and performed a few verses during a brief LOX set. Die hard fans of the New York collective went crazy, as they rocked out to hits like "24 Hours To Live," "Good Times," and Float song "Hater Love."
Upon watching the recap, one thing is certain: Hip-Hop needs a new LOX album, stat! In the mean time, lend your support by copping Float on iTunes. See the footage from the album release party below.
Beyonce Kicks off The "Ms. Carter Show" World Tour in Serbia
Beyoncé's is officially back at it. The superstar launched her The Mrs. Carter Show world tour in Belgrade, Serbia on Monday (April 15).
Rocking blue nails in honor of daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, Bey played to a huge crowd at the Kombank Arena. The 31-year-old played up her usual show-girl inspired looks with a shiny sequenced off-white ensemble and her ever-present opaque tights.
It's not easy being queen.
The show is the first of a more than 60-date tour run, which will include headlining the Essence Music Festival and the BET experience over the summer. Bey is promoting her forthcoming fifth album and will be singing many of her old hits, but will probably throw in some new joints for the Stans. "Grown Woman," the track played during her Pepsi commercial will likely be added to the set list.
Leading up to the show, the Houston native posted images from her tour rehearsal, as well as flicks from the actual concert.
Drizzy said "Girls Love Beyoncé," but we have a feeling they're not the only ones.

Rick Ross Dropped By Reebok over Controversial Lyrics

RAy J Says "I Hit It First" Song isn't a Kim Kardashian & Kanye West Diss Track
Ray J discusses a number of things; his relationship with his big sister Brandy (Happy Siblings Day yesterday you two), the rumor mill churning that he's dating Roc 1.0 signee Teairra Mari, and oh yes, that song about Kim Kardashian. But wait, Ray J claims he's not dissing the reality TV star and her rapper/producer beau Kanye West. Oh okay.
"I've been up for three days grinding," Ray J tells Karen Civil's CivilTV about crafting the track that he's using as the starting point for his album campaign. "We didn't know it was gonna be like this kind of impact," he continues, referring to the track as a "lifestyle record" and "controversial." He brushes the track off as just a "song," but doesn't want to say any names in the interest of being "respectable." Hmmm. "The main mission of this campaign is to say no names," he adds despite a pixelated pic of Kim K on the cover.
Ray J goes on to say that Brandy is a bit upset over the song, but as for Kim and Kanye? "I don't really know what's going on with the other party or with other people that feel like they're involved in the record." Come on son.

Rihanna Deals With Latest Chris Brown Breakup By Smoking Kush In The Club
We all deal with adversity in different way. For Rihanna, coping with another alleged break up with Chris Brown apparently means puffing on some kush in the club. Role model much?
TMZ reports:
Rihanna's gone up in smoke after calling it quits with Chris Brown ... ripping a fat blunt inside a Hollywood nightclub early Monday morning ... and TMZ has the pic.
Sources inside Greystone Manor nightclub tell us, Rihanna arrived around 1am with her assistant and security guard ... and pretty much kept to herself. She left an hour or so later.
As we reported, Rihanna and Chris Brown are officially broken up ... but our sources say it's nothing new for the on-again-off-again couple. We're told they'll be back together in no time.
You might call it a chronic problem.
In news that actually has to deal with music, Rihanna's next album will be released by Roc Nation proper. Yesterday, Jay-Z announced that Roc Nation has formed a partnership with Universal Music Group, where it will function as its own standalone label.
The "Unfaithful" singer is currently on her Diamonds World Tour. Check out a photo of Rih Rih smoking that green on the next page.

Future Talks New Future Hendrix Album,Rihanna,Auto-Tune and More
Future set out to make his mark in 2013, and so far he's showed and proved by dropping, penning, and crooning on some of the biggest records of the year. This alone made a great candidate to sit in the hot seat on this week's episode of Life+Times' series The Roundup, hosted by veteran journalist Shaheem Reid.
The sit down falls in line with those in previous episodes, as Reid facilitates more of a natural dialogue than an interview with the Atlanta native. Among the topics discussed were his influences, his musical family, how he found autotune, collaborating with Rihanna and more.
Little do people know that Future's cousin is Rico Wade of Organized Noize, who was a member of ATL's infamous Dungeon Family. For context, know that this is the clique that bred Outkast and The Goodie Mobb.
"Through the Dungeon Family I got my name Future. I was the youngest one at the dungeon. They older guys, they like 10-15 years older than me, so they just called me the future since I was so young," said the "Karate Chop" rapper.
"You just learned so much being at the Dungeon like you at school. You got Big Rube, you got dudes like Khujo, you got Cee-Lo, you know they minds so big and it just expands you," continued Future, who says The Dungeon Family didn't feel his use of autotune at first.
Ironically, that vocal effect has taken him to the top, despite his naysayers. Even with his newfound star power, Future is still inspired by the game and cherishes what it's done for him. This includes him receiving a surprising call to work with Jennifer Lopez. Hear him talk about that and more in the footage below.

Rick Ross Apologizes for Rape Lyric, Promotes New Song

Waka Flock Talks Gucci Mane Beef, Flockavelli 2 & More
Sorry Bricksquad fans. It looks like Waka Flocka Flame has his feet firmly planted in his stance on one time partner in rhyme Gucci Mane, with whom he recently severed all ties. He made this clear once again during a recent interview with Canada's Montreality.
"Gucci [is] 1017 Bricksquad. I'm BSM, Brick Squad Monopoly. We in two paths in our life. Ain't not beef, no animosity, it's just that me and him see two different goals," said Waka Flocka calmly, disregarding their public spat.
"People, they just can't put a finger on it, like 'What's the reason?' Sometimes it's none of your f**king business what's the reason. Just understand two men went they own ways, but it's no problems."
Outside of Gucci Mane, the Atlanta rapper was also sure to give an update on a few of his forthcoming projects, one of which will will be Flockaveli 2. The album will drop October 5, the same day as the his influential 2010 debut.
"Of course it's different, and of course it's similar," according to Waka, who says he feels like a fresh artist again. "My second album, I went so far left when I was already right. I wanted to show people that I could concur another genre of people, and I did it. Now it's time to go back to the essence of music, and how I started and what I created. It's time to claim what the f**k I started."
Hear Waka talk more about this, his favorite cartoon, and more below.
50 Cent Discusses Business Ventures in "Music Is My Sport" Feature
50 Cent is on undoubtedly one of Hip-Hop's greatest rags to riches tales ever. Having ascended to one of the culture's most successful figures, despite being previously most known for getting shot nine times, the G-Unit frontman is focused on the release of his forthcoming album Street King Immortal and boxing promotions company SMS Promotions. He discussed this and more in a feature with Vevo titled "Music Is My Sport."
"If you saw where I come from versus where I'm at now, you wouldn't believe how many changes I've been through," began 50. "People have expectations about people like me. The life I live, the music I make, the world I come from, they assume that you're a certain way. I've had to fight against being typecast my whole career."
With over 15 years in the game and 10 years since he released Get Rich Or Die Tryin', 50 has broken down many of those barriers. He's currently looking to build the SMS Promotions brand, and admits the similarities between boxing and rap drew him in.
"SMS promotions is like a dream for me. It allows me to live vicariously through the fighters that are around it. I'm not a fighter, but I get a chance to be one every now and then."
See 50 talk more about business ventures as a artist, actor, author and a boxing promoter in the footage below.
