Ab-Soul & Joey Bada$$ Arrested In St. Louis [Update: Details Emerge, Joey & Ab Were Released]

Last night footage circulated of Ab-Soul and Joey Bada$$ in handcuffs, while Joey asked the police if they had figured out why they were being arrested. Well, it seems there was no reason for their arrest and two Smokers Club tour rappers were released last night. Statik Selektah who was on tour with them spoke to HipHopDX about what happened. "No one is in jail," Statik Selektah said. "The cops were profiling because Joey and Ab were walking through the hotel parking lot to the bus. I was inside the hotel working when it happened, but by the time I came out, the cops were gone and the hotel security told me how it was bullshit." When asked if anyone was taken to the police station, Statik responded, "Naw. The cops felt dumb as fuck after they realized they were fucking up. [It was] basically profiling gone wrong. They saw the tour bus, passports, etcetera." "The show is still on tonight in St. Louis," Statik added. "That was some typical police bullshit."

Jeezy's Clothing Line Sued By Hells Angels Over Logo

Jeezy's clothing company 8732 is facing a new lawsuit from the Hells Angels. Jeezy's clothing apparel line 8732 Apparel is facing a new lawsuit, from motorcycle crew Hells Angels. The Angels aren't too happy with Jeezy ripping off their logo, and then selling it on jackets for massive profit, at least according to the suit. Hells Angels' iconic Death Head logo is currently being used in a slightly different version on 8732 Apparel's jackets and hats. Hells Angels say in their lawsuit that Jeezy's company has already earned a substantial amount of profit from selling a knock-off of their logo, and now they want all those profits. The club is suing for unspecified damages. They're also asking that a judge forces 8732 to stop selling any apparel with what looks like their logo on it. Last year the Hells Angels also went to court with Rob Drydek's clothing comapny and MTV over the same problem-- a rip-off of their logo.

2 Chainz Working On Third Studio Album; Has First Single Done

In a new interview, 2 Chainz reveals that not only is he working on his 3rd studio album, but he's got a single done already too. This ATL rapper never seems to slow down or take a break. Immediately after dropping his latest album, B.O.A.T.S. II: ME Time, 2 Chainz was already working on his 3rd studio album. In a recent interview with Jenny Boom Boom, 2 Chainz revealed that the day his LP hit store shelves, he went right back to the studio that night and started working on his next album. He also says that he’s already got a single done off the project too. “I’m already working on my third album, I have a single already. I never stop– The day my album dropped, I went to the studio.” says 2 Chainz. Now fast forward to later in the interview and 2 Chainz talks about who he would like to collab with for the next album. He mentions that he would love to get a verse from Jay Z, but would also like to get Eminem, Andre 3000, and 50 Cent on there. However, the 50 collab is something that’s already in the books according to Chainz. He’s said that the two have recorded new music together, but he doesn’t know where it will live on. 2 Chainz would go on and describe Em, 50, Jay, and Andre as the “A-A listers” of the industry, where as his fellow peers like Drizzy, Wayne, Ross, Sean, and Meek are “A-listers”. “I always had it in mind that I was gonna put Jay-Z on my third album. I still feel like I have room to grow, I haven’t peaked out yet. It’s always exciting to get a verse or something from jay-Z for a new album. You’ve still got Eminem, you’ve got Andre 3000. You’ve got your ‘A’ list and then you’ve got your ‘A-A’ list. You’ve got your certain people that are very successful in the game right now– Drizzy, Wayne, myself, Ross, Sean…” Check out the full interview below.

Freeway Ricky Ross Says Jay Z Is "Corny," Rick Ross Is Funded By Police

Freeway Ricky Ross voices his opposition to the alleged falsities in Jay Z's back story, and accuses Rick Ross of having police funding. Freeway Ricky Ross takes pretty much any chance he can get to throw dirt on the name of the man who stole his. From lawsuits to boxing match challenges, Freeway has gone at Ricky Rozay in every way possible, but has been unsuccessful in his attempts to take the big man down. On a recent appearance on the Murder Master Music Show, Ricky had some more unkind words for the MMG rapper, but also had another rapper in his crosshairs. The former druglord began by criticizing rappers for their allegedly false claims at criminal pasts, naming Jay Z in the process. "I'm just out here pounding the concrete, man,” he said. “I just left Orlando. I was in Detroit just hitting these high schools up really letting them know about these dudes who out here faking. Talking about they sold dope and read that shit and it’s so corny. I was just reading on the airplane the other day, the Vanity Fair with Jay Z in it, talking about that he sold crack. I was just reading it and it was so corny. These dudes just don't keep it one hundred. They was good boys and they went to school and they got college degrees and somebody gave them a good job, you know? And they doing alright right now. Everybody wanna be d-boys, but they don't carry it like d-boys. They don’t have d-boy stories.” When Rick Ross' name was brought up, Freeway accused him of more than just a fake backstory. "I believe that [Ross is] being financed by the police union and keeps spreading bullshit to the youngsters, so they can keep filling up the penitentiaries cause he ain't selling no music,” he argued. “They keep playing him on the radio and keep putting out all these big, expensive videos, but he ain't selling no music. So, somebody is shootin' off money. And I believe that the police union behind it." Ricky later commented on the irony that rappers who glamorize criminal lifestyles are applauded, while men like himself, who have served their time, and actively discourage youth from following in their footsteps, are not. “These people let them go and talk to their kids and pay ‘em to come and talk to their kids. The president of the United States will invite them to the White House. But then with me, I did 20 years in prison and I’m talking about not sell drugs and you gotta try to make it a better way…When I sold dope I believed that it was cool at that time to sell dope, you know? And that’s why I was selling dope. Now, I don't feel like that anymore. I don’t feel that it’s cool to sell dope anymore and that's why I do what I do right now.” Listen to the full interview below.

Master P Offering $10,000 To A Lucky Fan Who Buys His Album ‘The Gift’

Master P has always been known as a rapper who gives back, holding annual Thanksgiving and Christmas giveaways in his hometown New Orleans. Now he is offering $ 10,000 to a lucky fan who cops his next album, The Gift. The No Limit Records founder’s first solo LP since 2005′s Ghetto Bill will include a “golden lottery ticket” which will put the purchaser in the drawing for the cash. P explained the strategy as an opportunity to give back both musically and monetarily. “As I get better with time, the man upstairs has blessed me and continues to give me the inspiration to share my talents or should I say my gift with my current and new fan base of music consumers of all ages and ethnic backgrounds across the world,” said P. “With the holidays approaching and the economy being the way it is, many families will be unable to buy gifts for their loved ones and that’s why I want to give everyone the gift. Most importantly, I will be able to use my gift of music to help give back to underprivileged kids in many communities, and give them a chance to receive Christmas gifts that they would normally not be able to afford. It is my hope that this will encourage other artists to join me in this movement.” The Gift will hit shelves on December 6. A raffle will take place, December 23 with the winner receiving the $ 10K present. Check out the album’s shiny cover art, Below.

Maino Arrested & Released In NYC

A few weeks back, Maino was arrested and later released in NYC for driving on a suspended license. Aside from releasing a new Jadakiss-featured track today called “What Happened”, Maino is now making headlines for being arrested in New York City a couple weeks ago. According to TMZ, Maino was arrested in NYC on September 25th for driving around his 2008 Bentley Continental without a front license plate. After the cops stopped his vehicle, they found out that his license had been suspended from a previous incident so he wasn’t supposed to be driving any vehicle for that matter. With our without a license plate. He eventually was taken into custody for driving on a suspended license. Maino was later released as he has already entered a guilty plea and paid the fine. Maino claims that he has also gotten his license back since the arrest from a few weeks ago as well. One thing hasn't changed though, he has NOT put a front license plate on his Bentley Continental, because Maino says he's not drilling any holes in his whip. You blame him?

They exchanged vows in Miami, and following the ceremony invited friends onto a yacht for their reception. Lasichanh is a model, and has a four year old son with Pharrell. Kendrick Lamar Speaks On Pushing Boundaries & His Current Inspiration

Kendrick Lamar says he'd like to be remembered as someone who challenged himself, and he discusses his current source of inspiration. The Grammy nomination deadline of September 30th has come and pass, and if there'll be one rapper most of us will be looking for on the nominations list, it'll be Compton emcee Kendrick Lamar. The rising rapper's debut album, good kid, m.A.A.d city, has been critically acclaimed and it's quite likely that K. Dot will receive a nod from the Grammy committee. The Grammys are already showing love to Kendrick by having him visit their studio in L.A. to discuss the album and his unique perspective. Kendrick spoke on making music that isn't necessarily considered gangster rap and doesn't necessarily glorify street life, even though he's from Compton, and how he was able to push the boundaries of West Coast music-- something he'd like to be remembered by. Kendrick said during his interview [via HHDX], "Coming from Compton I think in just the lifestyle in general it’s always been glorified as the reality of gangster rap. And that’s something I can’t escape. I was born and raised. I been in the lifestyle and it’s in my music. It reflect in my music. So, when I first stepped into it it kinda threw people off balance that I wasn’t glorifying everything that I’ve seen or actually done in the streets. So, that was a step from the box from the initial gate and that was me challenging myself to do something a little bit different. You know, represent myself. So, with that being the start I always wanted that to be something that you will remember me by. Someone that always challenged himself and not went towards other people’s standards. And just pushed the envelope a little bit more. Not just in art, but just in life in general." Kendrick discussed the inspiration behind GKMC, which was from life growing up in Compton, however since that album his inspiration is more broad. "Now it’s just not me being in the streets. It’s about me having that balance with my music career and my family," Kendrick said of his current inspiration. “It’s about me staying true to myself and not getting caught up in the lights. It’s about me still being close to my spirituality and not being so tainted with the negatives of being an artist…Cause I can sit and talk to a five-year-old little boy and draw from a song from talking to him and seeing the innocence in his eyes that I haven’t seen in myself in a long time. That’s inspiration. Just life." Just this past week it was announced that Drake, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, and Robin Thicke would be performing at the Grammys Nominations Concert.

Daz Dillinger Claims GTA V Used Two Of His Tracks Without Permission

Daz Dillinger writes a cease & desist letter to the makers of Grand Theft Auto V for using two of his songs in the video game without his permission. Daz Dillinger has some beef with the new video game Grand Theft Auto V. Daz filed a cease & desist letter to the makers of GTA V, for allegedly using his music in the video game without the rapper's permission. Daz says in the letter to Take-Two Interactive Software and Rockstar Games, he was offered $4,271.00 for two tracks, "C-Walk" and "Nothin' But the Cavi Hit." In his letter Daz calls the amount "offensively low" and thus he turned them down. However, the two songs still found their way into the game's soundtrack. So now Daz and his attorney are asking the makers of the record-breaking game give him a better offer or recall and destroy all unsold copies of the game. Daz said to TMZ it's about "respecting an artist's work. Rockstar didn't do that here and I can't let them get away with it." The former Dogg Pound rapper is giving GTA V 14 days to make him a better offer or recall the games.

Game Talks On Tattoos & Says He Hasn't Started Working On New LP Yet

Game talks with HotNewHipHop about tattoos and his next album. Game dropped his new mixtape OKE yesterday, after a slight delay, and the 19-track project is jam-packed, so much so, that Game hasn't felt a need to start working on his next album yet. The tape was initially supposed to drop after Game's appearance on DJ Skee's Skee Live show, which we were on hand for and spoke with Game briefly after the show. Game documents just about every tattoo he gets, thanks to social media, and last we saw him ink a tribute to Nate Dogg and Trayvon Martin. We received questions from the fans for this interview, and one fan wanted to know when he'd be finishing his tattoo of his daughter. "Yeah, you know Nikko Hurtado, he did the tattoo of my daughter on my chest, and he stopped tattooing for a minute," Game revealed. "He doing some artistic stuff, and he said when he pick the tattoo gun back up I was first on the list. I respect him, I respect his craft I think he's an amazing tattoo artist so I'ma just wait on him." As for how he decides who gets a tribute on his body, Game says, "I don't really have no plans. I just wake up and brush my teeth and figure it out. So if I go to the tatt shop, I probably think about it on the way there and then when I get there, get it." Game is no longer signed to Interscope Records, the label on which he dropped his last album, Jesus Piece, however it sounds like he's in no rush to find a new home or start a new album yet. "Uh you know what, OKE is such a dope mixtape it's kinda like an album, so I haven't even started working on an album," Game told us. "I focused everything on Operation Kill Everything. My mixtape gon' be better than a lot of people album, and it's sad, but that's what it is." Watch the full interview below,

Nipsey Hussle Talks On Jay Z Copping 100 "Crenshaw" Albums

Nipsey Hussle talks about finding out that Jay Z wanted to purchase 100 "Crenshaw" CDs. Yesterday we reported how Jay Z copped 100 copies of Nipsey Hussle's $100 album Crenshaw. Jay had posted an image of all the 100 hard copies he received, while Nipsey posted an image of the receipt for S. Carter Enterprises. Today we get word from Nipsey himself on how the exchange all went down. Nipsey says he was humbled by it, and sounds like he didn't see it coming. While talking to MTV News the rapper says it all started by a Twitter DM. “I got a DM on Twitter from a respected hip-hop journalist and he was just like, ‘Hov respects the move, salute’. A little while later, I got an email that came through my team that was like, ‘Roc Nation, on behalf of Jay Z wants to buy 100 units. Who do we pay? When can we get the shipment out? They sent us $10,000, we sent them 100 CDs. I didn’t get a chance to holla at Jay, but through his people he made it clear that he respects the movement and everything. I was humbled by it. I felt like it was a good risk, and it ended up working out," Nipsey said.

Nipsey Hussle Says He Made $100k From Selling $100 "Crenshaw" Mixtapes

Nipsey Hussle has apparently earned $100,000 from his latest mixtape. They don't call him Hussle for nothing. Despite Nipsey's choice to release his latest project for free online, physical copies of the Crenshaw mixtape are apparently still a hot item. When Nipsey announced that he would be selling hard copies of the tape at $100 a piece, there was definitely some skepticism from fans, but according to the rapper, he's already sold all 1,000 copies at this price, earning him a cool $100,000 in one day! The L.A. rapper hosted a pop-up shop in his hometown today, pawning off signed CDs, as well as merch such as T-shirts and sweaters. Diddy Speaks On The Possibility Of Becoming Hip Hop's First Billionaire

Diddy speaks to Forbes about his business model, what he has in the bank, and whether or not he'll be hip hop's first billionaire. Diddy recently topped Forbes' list for top earners in hip hop (something he's getting used to doing by this point), and thus sat down with the people at Forbes to discuss his business model, how much he has in the bank, and his potential to become rap's first billionaire. When asked if he felt he would become the first rapper to hit the 9 figure mark, Puff said he couldn't be sure, but stressed that he would remain humble no matter the outcome. "I can't deny how humbling... how proud I am to be from Harlem, New York, to be from the inner-city and be on the Forbes list," he said. "But it doesn't define me-- whether I become a billionaire, or whatever my status is." He also made sure to clear the air that the numbers Forbes reports him to have are not reflective of what he has in the bank, and more likely have to do with his assets. "First of all I do want to say to the Forbes cameras, I'm going to tell you that I don't have that money in the bank." he said, half-jokingly. "I want to make sure y’all are clear on that. I have no problem with saying that. If that pushes me down on the list, I’m okay with that.” The mogul then went on to speak of how he defines success, and hopes to inspire and give back to his community. “The way I define my success is how many people I’m able to affect their lives in a positive way. I have over a thousand employees, people that I pay, over a thousand employees and from a kid coming from Harlem, if I could do it then hopefully that inspires somebody else to do it. And then another thing about being number one on the list, is that I openly accept the responsibility that comes with that and that economic power gives me the opportunity to give back. Because I was able to work hard and to earn that money, I was able to take care of my family, I got six kids and that’s kind of expensive.” Watch the full interview below.

Nipsey Hussle Selling Hard Copies Of "Crenshaw" $100

Nipsey Hussle will be selling his mixtape "Crenshaw" at a pop-up shop in L.A. for $100 each. Nipsey Hussle is gearing up to release a new mixtape, Crenshaw, on October 8th, but he's doing things quite differently when it comes to the release. While it's not uncommon for rappers to make hard copies of their mixtapes, Nipsey is taking that to the next level by selling the hard copies for 100$. Yup. The rapper is holding a pop-up shop on October 8th in L.A., and will be selling hard copies of the tape (which you will still be able to cop for free online) for the sum of $100-- as he says, it's "the world's first $100 album." Nipsey has offered a thorough explanation defending his decision to sell the mixtape for $100 a pop, read that below via RapRadar. Will you be supporting Nipsey on this? It’s 2013 weather we except it or not, buying music is a choice not a requisite. When I think of the psychology behind what makes me purchase an artists album, it’s always a form of reciprocation. Almost like a token of appreciation after I experience the product. The reason I chose to charge $100 dollars each copy and only start w 1000 units is because I’m tailor making my music for those who are listening…it’s not about stepping outside of what I’m known for in hopes of new discovery. What that means less is fans that are better served. (Kinda like the effect of less kids in a class room leading to a better education) I’m more or less focused on fully serving the ones that have connected all ready. That being said its a value over volume thing…if I’m goin to offer a product made with no compromise or concession to the platforms (radio, A&R opinion, label bias) ect…ect..then the way we sale it has to change. Hence PROUD2PAY. As an artist my goal is to inspire…entertain…motivated…and most importantly INOVATE. And as lovers of art we should base our purchase on the artists ability to do so. That being said, if my presence in the game has had any of those effects on you $100 is your form of saying don’t change. It ISN’T the price of the plastic case and polyurethane disc…it’s the price of Revolution! The price of Rebellion against an industry that has tricked us all into making products that have no soul for fear of not being heard if we don’t. I have over 400k followers on twitter 140k on Instagram and 400k on Facebook but what good are they if they don’t mobilize around my releases? if only 1000 of those people are engaged to the point of brand loyalty then that’s who I’m focused on. That being said: I fux w who fux w me. I have no plans to change up or go left on my people for hopes of a lager audience. And I have a feeling that this 1st 100 will be the evangelist to my cause. Like Frank Lucas said nobody owns me. We might have to go into the jungle for it to work but once we get it… It’s blue magic. #fuccthemiddleman #crenshaw 10.8.13 #proud2pay

Pusha T Talks On Attempting To Prevent "MNIMN" Leak & Kendrick Lamar

Pusha T talks about trying to prevent an album leak, collaborating with Kendrick Lamar on "Nosetalgia" and more in our exclusive interview. Pusha T's album My Name Is My Name officially drops next week, but fans have already been able to hear the "rap album of the year" because Pusha let go an album stream a few days ago. As we initially reported, Pusha T let go the stream following an interaction with a Twitter user who threatened to leak the LP. We got a chance to sit down with Pusha Ton recently, and he spoke on attempting to prevent a leak. Pusha explained that he was not planning to release an album stream, "No, I was gunna let it take its course. But somebody tells me they got the album...The leak is sorta inevitable, you want the traffic going in one stream and you sorta want the quality is of a decent standard anyway, and there's no telling when someone else has it, you don't know their methods of leaking it. A lot of times it's like really bad." The G.O.O.D. signee continued to explain how the only people who are able to avoid leaks are Hov and 'Ye. "I've only seen it happen with like Watch The Throne and with like Kanye albums, and literally there are like people working over night 'cause they don't get the master until he decides to give it to them, which, by the time he decides to give it to them, there's no way it can leak," Pusha explained. 1/2 of Clipse also spoke on his collaboration with Kendrick Lamar, "Nosetalgia," revealing it was recorded before "Control" dropped, nonetheless, Pusha says that would not have affected his decision to hop on a track with K. Dot (unlike what Drake said). "The track was recorded before," Pusha revealed. "I'm different. I look at confrontation differently, and I look at disrespect differently, and I don't think Kendrick disrespected me at all. "Control" was a competitive verse and it was a verse of relevance and it let people know who was on Kendrick's radar, and there's nothing wrong with being on Kendrick's radar or him being on mine. Rap has always been competitive. Then you just have to look at where I'm coming from, I don't think it's arguable, I put out the hardest records, that have made people jump out windows, with "Exodus" and things like that. The Kendrick verse was about sport, I don't think there's nothing wrong with that." Watch our full interview below, where Pusha T also talks about his favorite characters on "The Wire."

Cam'ron Reveals His Reaction To Jay Z's "Pound Cake" Line & Slams DOPE Couture Capsule Collection

Cam'ron shares his reaction to Hov shouting him out on "Pound Cake" and slams the upcoming DOPE collection which borrows Cam's name. Cam'ron recently dropped a new mixtape, Ghetto Heaven Vol. 1, which put him back on the blog radar. Prior to that, Jay Z gave Cam a shout-out on his verse on Drake's "Pound Cake" record, something which Killa Cam also responded to on record in "Come And Talk To Me." Now in an interview with Karen Civil, the rapper talks about his reaction upon hearing Hov's lines. Cam says he wasn't shocked when he heard the verse, but he did think it was very random. "Not really shocked, that’s just mad random," Killa said. "I thought it came from nowhere basically. Just to clarify, I don’t think Jay was necessarily taking shots at me. I just stated the facts of the scenario. He said he made more millionaires than the lotto did, but I knew Jay when he didn’t have a million, when none of us had a million, when Dame and them were on the come-up. I respect what all of us have done because I know where we all come from. But the way he put his lyrics [together] and made it seem like he made niggas money or put them in the place where they was supposed to be… He could’ve worded it like he helped niggas make more millions, instead of saying you made niggas millionaires." Cam'ron also spoke on the Cam'ron/Dipset capsule collection that's coming out with West Coast apparel line DOPE. Previews of the clothing items surfaced recently (see the gallery for two of the t-shirts and one of the snapbacks) but Cam actually says that he had no part in the design or any of the process, and he is not co-signing it. He also says he didn't realize he was such a hot commodity in the fashion world. "That’s something that my manager British [Young] had worked out, and I knew nothing about it," Cam'ron revealed. "To make a long story short, I didn’t know I was as big as I was in the fashion world. When I did these ALIFE shirts, a lot of people hollered at me to do capsule collections with them. This dude calls from DOPE like, ‘Yo, we’re putting out the capsule Cam clothes deal that we made in a couple weeks.’ I never signed off on anything with them. I didn’t cosign on the artwork or the designs. I’m not going to allow them to have had conversations with my manager a year and a half ago about doing something because their company is in trouble, and now they see that I’m doing good in fashion, they think they just gon’ throw this out there. I’m not cosigning that. I’ll put it on Instagram and everything that I’m not doing it."

Future Delays Album "Honest"

Future reveals that his upcoming album "Honest," originally scheduled to drop November 26th, has been delayed. Future has been working on the follow-up to his debut album, Pluto, for some time now. During that time it's gone through a name change, from Future Hendrix, to Honest. It also received several new release dates along the way-- most recently, it was slated to drop on November 26th. Now in a new interview with Huffington Post, the Atlanta native reveals that the album has, once again, been delayed. During his interview Future says there is now no set release date, but he thinks it'll arrive sometime between November and December (presumably, the latter). "Between November and December, I think I'm going for like a December look. Nah, don't have a specific date right now, but just know it's coming out this year," Future said. The rapper also reveals he's never listened to Kendrick Lamar's "Control" verse and talks about what the music will be like on Honest.

Rick Ross & 2 Chainz Support Kanye West In Jimmy Kimmel Beef

Rick Ross and 2 Chainz come to the defense of Kanye West in his recent beef with Jimmy Kimmel. Kanye West's lengthy interview with BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe was a great look at where Kanye's currently at in his life, and where he wants to go in the future. Although many fans found the interview interesting and informative, late night show host, Jimmy Kimmel, decided it was in need of a satire. That did not go over too well with 'Ye. Jimmy Kimmel's skit poking fun at Kanye's interview was torn apart by Yeezy, who proceeded to go in on Kimmel via Twitter, and even dropped off some memes. Since this feud between the rapper and talk show host transpired, many people have come to the defense of Kanye. At the BET Hip-Hop Awards, Rick Ross was one of the many rappers who sided with 'Ye. While talking with MTV News, Rozay said, "I really didn’t watch all the interview. I just saw some of the Jimmy Kimmel shit. Fuck Jimmy Kimmel. You know we riding with the culture. So, Jimmy Kimmel he ain’t welcome here no more. You understand it? People who cross that line they not welcome no more. But as far as Kanye, I just love his passion. And I feel anybody that love what they do you gotta respect someone that is that passionate about what they do because homie a hundred mill you can just sit back and really don’t give a fuck, but he actually cares about the culture. He puts that much passion into it." 2 Chainz was another rapper who defended Kanye (Tity Boi happened to receive a shout-out during the Zane Lowe interview). "You know, Kanye’s very passionate," the Hair Weave Killa said. "[For him] just letting his self go to the media like that I think he just has so much information that he wants to deliver. For me, I realize the special qualities I bring to the game although some people don’t. He’s one of the few people that do. I appreciate him greatly."

First Week Sale Projections For Nelly & Justin Timberlake

The projections are in for Justin Timberlake and Nelly's respective LPs. Justin Timberlake's follow-up to his enormous come-back effort, The 20/20 Experience, won't be following up when it comes to numbers. The sales projections for The 20/20 Experience 2 are in, and it's looking like less than half of the original did. While the first album pushed nearly a million sales opening week, the second installment is looking to move 350-375k. Although this may be lacklustre in terms of JT, it'll still get him the #1 spot on the charts, and it's way better than the amount Nelly is going to move. Nelly's new album M.O. dropped this past week, and it'll basically be a flop if the numbers are correct: only 12-15k copies opening week. Are you planning to purchase either of these albums?

Game Hasn't Seen 50 Cent In 8 Years, Says Beef Stemmed From Ignorance

Game speaks with Larry King about his beef with 50 Cent, and his current label situation. Despite Game's recent petition to reunite G-Unit, it seems he and 50 Cent will never see eye to eye. The Jesus Piece rapper joined Larry King in an interview where he spoke of the "rift" between the two rappers, as well as his label situation, and the reason why he'll never run out of things to rap about. “I haven’t seen him in about eight years,” said Game of his ongoing beef with 50 Cent, explaining that it was more than a minor feud. “We had a shootout in New York. In front of a radio station…It was a little bit more than a rift." he explained, going on to speak of what sparked the rivalry. "Egos, young, dumb, ignorant, who knows.” On whether he felt like he would run out of topics to rap about, Game was confident that he would never run into such a problem. “When people ask me questions like that, the answer is simply I cannot fit 33 years of life in five discs." he said. "You know, five CDs. So, of course there’s always events changing in my life, things happening. So, there’s always new stuff to rap about. As far as what label his next album will be released on, the Compton emcee is still weighing his options. “Recently, a free agent. Was signed to Interscope for my last five albums, which of course are all platinum,” said the rapper. “I been taking a lot of meetings and a lot of conference calls about my next move. And I just—I haven’t narrowed it down yet.” Watch the full interview below.

Jim Jones Arrested For Driving High

Jim Jones was pulled over for speeding when the cops noticed he seemed to be high. Jim Jones was arrested early this morning in the Bronx for allegedly driving high, and at the same time, speeding down the highway. The rapper was pulled over at around 2 AM by the NYPD, and when the cops came over to his car, his eyes were bloodshot and he seemed to be out of it. TMZ reports that Jones was driving a Chevy Impala when he got pulled over, and after failing several field sobriety tests, the Vampire life rapper was brought to a nearby police station. He refused to do a breathalyzer test, and was booked for driving under the influence of drugs, presumably, marijuana. Last time Jim Jones had a run-in with the cops, he claimed to be a victim of racial profiling. No word from Jim Jones on this latest arrest yet, though.

Drake's "Nothing Was The Same" First Week Sales Are In

Drake's "Nothing Was The Same" has moved 658,179 copies! Drake's Nothing Was The Same has met expectations, and debuted at number one on the Billboard charts this week. The album has sold 658,179 units, which is just slightly more than Drizzy's last project, Take Care, moved in its first week. The album is the second highest debut of the year, after Justin Timberlake's 20/20 Experience, which sold close to a million copies in its first seven days. Congratulations to Drake and his OVO team! The only question now is, will we be getting some new music to celebrate the success? "Trophies" perhaps?

Bay Area Rapper Kafani Shot Five Times, In Critical Condition

Kafani was shot five times over the weekend, and is still reported to be in critical condition. Bay Area rapper Kafani was reportedly shot 5 times in Oakland, California Saturday night. The 33-year old rapper was in the midst of a beef with fellow rapper Philthy Rich, and was actually said to be filming a video for a diss track towards the rapper when he was hit. An unidentified man allegedly told Kafani and his entourage that they could not film at their current location, before proceeding to unload his weapon on the rapper. This happened around 11:39 PM. Kafani was rushed to hospital, and underwent surgery for his wounds. As of the last report, the rapper was still in critical condition. There is no evidence to support that Kafani's feud with Philthy Rich had anything to do with the attack, but it has not been ruled out. More coverage to come as information arrives.
