Rich Homie Quan's father was reportedly shot four times in Atlanta today, and is currently in critical condition. Sad news from Atlanta on the day of Rich Gang's mixtape drop: Rich Homie Quan's father was reportedly shot four times this morning, and is currently in the hospital. He's in critical condition, but according to TMZ, is expected to live. Corey Lamar, Quan's father and manager, was apparently in the Atlanta barber shop he owns when a man (or men, TMZ isn't sure) "came in and attempted to rob the place," during which time they open fired. Lamar was hit four times. He was then rushed to the hospital and taken into surgery, and Rich Homie Quan is currently at the hospital waiting for him to get out of surgery. Stay tuned for updates, and keep Corey Lamar in your thoughts. [via] [Update: Quan's label releases statement] Today Rich Homie Quan's label, Think It's A Game Entertainment, has released a statement on yesterday's tragic events. Speaking to XXL, T.I.G.'s founder and CEO, G. "Fly" Henry, said: "Unfortunately RHQ’s father Corey Lamar was shot due to an attempted robbery in his barbershop yesterday. We don’t know how the news traveled so fast. Was this gang/beef related? Not that we know of. Quan’s Dad is doing better now and in the healing process. We’re just asking all of his fans to support and honor the privacy of Rich Homie Quan and his family as they push through. We at TIG Records wish him well and a speedy recovery. It’s really times like these that we stand even stronger by our code at T.I.G and that’s to, Trust In God."

Nicki Minaj To Host MTV Europe Music Awards

Nicki adds a new title to her resume. After teasing fans all day with the prospect of an announcement dropping at midnight, Nicki Minaj finally took to Instagram to share the big news. "So excited to announce that I will not only perform, but I have the honorable task of HOSTING this year's MTV European Music Awards!!!!!!!" she captioned a photo of herself sitting on a throne, "AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! The show will shoot in GLASGOW, SCOTLAND for its 20th Anniversary ON NOVEMBER 9th!!!! Find us@mtvema and Vote at mtvema.com." This will be Minaj's first hosting gig. Her fellow YMCMB label mate, Drake, was similarly honored with the same position at this year's ESPY awards. No word yet on when Nicki's The Pinkprint album will be hitting stores. The LP's second single, "Anaconda," is slowly slipping down the charts, falling two spots into forth place this week after being knocked down by "Bang Bang," Minaj's own collaboration with Jessie J & Arianna Grande.

Wiz Khalifa Says Marriage Was Over Before Rose Walked In On Him With Another Woman

Wiz doesn't believe he cheated. The details of Wiz Khalifa's recent divorce from Amber Rose continue to trickle into the public eye. According to TMZ -- the king of intrusive details -- the Pittsburgh rapper was quoted saying, "I just didn't want to be married to her anymore." Wiz did not believe he was cheating on Rose, explaining that he had already moved out of the house and told friends weeks prior that the marriage was over. Amber Rose is looking to earn over a million dollars from Wiz Khalifa based on a prenuptial agreement the two signed before getting married. Custody of Wiz & Amber's child will be determined by a judge. Amber is asking for full legal and physical custody. Rose walked in on Wiz with another woman at 2 AM on the day before she filed for divorce (Sept. 22). She is reportedly pointing the finger at Wiz for their marriage falling apart. Apparently, Amber felt that Wiz has been "stepping out" since his tour kicked off in July. Amber is telling friends that she wanted to join Wiz on the tour, but he came up with a series of excuses, the most frequent of which was she should stay home with their 1-year-old child.

Jay Rock & Kutt Calhoun Leave Strange Music

Tech wishes both emcees luck in their future endeavors. Years after the release of his debut album Take Me Home, TDE's Jay Rock has officially parted ways with Tech N9ne's Strange Music label. Fans speculated that this split might happen when Rock only appeared for a brief verse on Tech's Strangeulation LP earlier this year, a project that gave sizable shine to just about every other member of the label. In addition to Rock, Kutt Calhoun, one of the label's original signees, has decided to part ways with Strange as well. "Kutt's always been different," explains N9ne in an interview with Mr. Wavvy. "Me and [Krizz Kaliko] are weirdos and we're proud of it... Kutty is a lot cooler, you know, a lot more hip -- a lot more stylish. He didn't really like the scrubs on stage, you know? And eventually he wanted to be off stage with us and do his own show... He wanted to be his own man and not in the shadow of Tech N9ne." There's no hard feelings with either artists, Tech added, wishing them both success. "For Jay Rock, Strange Music was that other family member that gave him a boost, and now [TDE] got what they need to put him where he belongs. Now he's 100% TDE, and I told him 'You better murder it, Jay Rock.'" Check out the full interview below.

50 Cent's Son Takes Photos with Floyd Mayweather

Marquise Jackson, otherwise known as 50 Cent's son, decided to take a photo with his father's most recent enemy last week. 50 Cent's son continues to bro down with his father's enemies. Marquise Jackson seems to have inherited the troll gene from Fif, deciding to take a unique approach to rebelling against his father. A few weeks back he openly endorsed Slowbucks, a rapper 50 has been feuding with since a now infamous chain-snatching incident at Summer Jam 2014, and has now taken a photo with Floyd Mayweather, who his father has been mocking on social media over the past few weeks. Marquise posted a picture of himself hanging out with Floyd on Facebook, casually captioning it, “With Tank and Floyd". So far 50 has not commented publicly on any of his son's recent acts of defiance. 50 was criticized earlier this year for missing Marquise's high school graduation. It's not clear if that event is what inspired the photos. Check out the pic of Marquise and Mayweather below.

A$AP Mob's "L.O.R.D." Scrapped, New A$AP Rocky Album Coming Soon

A$AP Mob have cancelled their collaborative album, "L.O.R.D.", but will instead release new material from Rocky and Nast. A$AP Mob's debut album has been in the works for quite a while now with plenty of false starts in the form of singles like "Trillmatic" and "Hella Hoes". Answering a fan question on his Tumblr, resident tastemaker A$AP Yams revealed that the oft-delayed crew album is officially cancelled, hinting that a new Rocky album would come in its place. "LORD IS SCRAPPED. FLACKO JODYE SEASON THIS FALL" said Yams, implying that we could have a project from A$AP's breakout member before the year's end. He also announced on Twitter that A$AP Nast will be releasing a mixtape as early as this October. So are y'all disappointed with the lack or L.O.R.D., or excited for more solo material from the crew? kevin Durant Addresses "The Based god's Curse",Says He's "Cool" With Lil B

According to Kevin Durant, he has "no problem" with Lil B or the curse he famously cast on the athlete. The Based God's Curse has been haunting Kevin Durant all year, and now it appears he's finally attempting to break the spell. If you haven't been following, the NBA star has been beefing with Lil B on and off since 2011, when he dissed the rapping skills of the self-deifying emcee. Since then, there's been sporadic back and forth between the two, with talk of a one on one game taking place at one point or another. On top of the straight forward diss track, "Fuck KD", Lil B cast what he called "The Based God's Curse" on Durant, which may or may not have cost him a championship ring last season. In a new interview with Revolt, Durant finally addressed the alleged curse, and his longtime beef with the Based God, but to everyone's surprise, he said there were no hard feelings between the two. "I keep hearing about [the curse]. Every time I sign into Twitter or Instagram there's this Lil B stuff coming up," said Durant, referring to the rapper's loyal social media following, before adding, "I don't have no problem with Lil B". However, his next statement made the attempted beef-squashing seem a tad insincere. "He's got so many fans, it's starting to get on my nerves. Just to get those people away from me, me and Lil B are cool". Meanwhile, Lil B has announced that he will soon have news of whether or not the curse will be lifted. Watch the interview below. Has Durant successfully broken the spell? or will the curse follow him to eternity? DJ Khaled Sues eOne Music Over unpaid Royalties

DJ Khaled is suing his old label over royalties he claims they failed to pay. Before he founded the We The Best Music Group in 2012, DJ Khaled was signed to eOne Music, where he released his first four records from 2006 to 2010. Now the music mogul is claiming that his former label has failed to pay him the royalties they had agreed upon, and is suing eOne for the difference, thought to be at least $1 million. According to Billboard, Khaled filed a lawsuit alleging "breach of contract, accounting and unjust enrichment" against the label. The article cites "failure to properly account and pay record and mechanical royalties" as the main focus of the suit. Read more at Billboard, and stay tuned for updates.

Snoop Dogg Confirms Pharrell Produced His Whole Album

Snoop Dogg shares some information on his upcoming studio album. We've heard some talk of Snoop Dogg and Pharell cooking something special up in the studio, from photos of the Doggfather putting in work with Stevie Wonder, to Skateboard P saying that the record is better than his own, but it appears we finally have confirmation from the man himself. Snoop recently previewed a selection from the record, which seems like it may be venturing fully into the funk direction the rapper has always hinted at, and in a new interview with MTV, he confirmed that the record's production is helmed entirely by Pharrell, ensuring that it will sound like nothing you've heard from him before. “It’s a great record me and Pharrell did from top to bottom. It feels good and I’m happy to be back in the studio working with one of my favorite producers and homeboys,” he said. “It’s different — it’s completely different than anything we’ve ever done. It feels good, sounds good, looks good.” As for whether he'll be using a different moniker for the project, the rapper explained that he's keeping it OG this time around. “Snoop Dogg — he’ll be on my album. Just Snoop Dogg with two Gs, baby.”

Big Sean Speaks on New Album Sound & Ariana Grande Rumors

Big Sean says that he's in "beast mode" on his new album, and that it will be "darker in tone." He also addresses Ariana Grande rumors. Big Sean got us excited when he dropped four new records in one day, and killed each one in a different way, from the dark "Paradise" to the break-up anthem "I Don't Fuck With You" to the more laid-back "Jit/Juke." The rapper has since done a few interviews, and in this most recent one, he discusses the direction of his new album. While these four drops, which happened on Friday, led some to believe that perhaps the fan-favorite G.O.O.D. Fridays may make a return, Big Sean can neither confirm or deny said rumors. "We've been collectively working, but that's all I can really say though," he said, then adding that he'd been in the studio with Kanye, Pusha T and CyHi The Prynce. If we couldn't already tell by the four tracks, Sean Don is currently going hard, and so he says he is spitting nothing but high-quality raps on the new LP. "Man, I'm just in straight beast mode. I'm not angry, but I'm passionate. High-level raps," Big Sean told Power 106KMEL. "I'm just going in to the best of my ability on every single beat, not lagging, not cutting anything short, giving it 110%." When asked if the new album would be more street-oriented, Sean replied, "not necessarily street, but it's gunna be darker in tone. Not necessarily angry but more intense, man. I don't wanna say angry 'cause I'm honestly the happiest I've ever been." He added, "Vented heavy, everyone knows I've been going through some craziness," perhaps referring to his Naya Rivera break-up, and/or Ariana Grande rumors. Speaking of Ariana rumors, Big Sean once again addresses them in a separate interview with Ryan Seacrest. He sort of dodges the question, although he doesn't really do much to quell the rumors. "I like to keep my personal life personal," he said. "But I am gonna tell you this: that Ariana is very, very special. She’s very special to me. Everything she has going on is good with her, everything I have going on is good with me, everything between me and her is good, and I’m just going to leave it at that." Watch all the new interview below.

Andre 3000 Covers Billboard,Talks Solo Album,$100k Verses & More

Billboard nabs Andre 3000 for their new magazine cover. Andre 3000 is coming out of his shell in order to promote the Jimi Hendrix film, "Jimi: All By My Side." We've seen him do several interviews as we lead up to the film's release date, which is actually today, and now he's on the cover of Billboard magazine. Today Billboard is giving us a sneak peek at the interview they did with Andre 3k as well as a look at the magazine cover. In snippets from the interview, we hear Three Stacks talk about the possibility of a solo album (it seems like we hear a different stance on this every day), guest verses going for $100,000, social media, doing more movies, among other things. Check out a few of the excerpts below, and peep the cover in the gallery above. The full cover story can be read here. Solo Album While there's one in the works, he's not rushing it: "I haven’t even started on [it],” says Benjamin. “I’ve got to find something I’m excited about.” More Movies “I do read scripts,” he says. “But I have to be excited about it to really fully throw myself into it. The older I get, I don’t know what my decisions will be. I may start just taking roles just to support myself, just kind of keep busy.” He's Turned Down $100,000 Guest Verses A rare Andre 3000 guest verse, which goes for at least $100,000, isn't a guaranteed thing: “[In some cases] I had to call them back and say, ‘I’m sorry, I couldn’t come up with nothing cool.’" We'd probably beg to differ. Retirement “To be clear, there’s no retirement," Benjamin says of his rap career. Which, obviously, is a relief.

Kim Kardashian Tackled During Paris Fashion Week, Kanye & Kim Ramp Up Security

Vitalii Sediuk, a Ukrainian prankster, takes credit for the assault. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are ramping up security for Paris Fashion Week after Kim was tackled by a "crazy man" during one of the week's events. Kim, Kanye and Kris Jenner arrived at a fashion show Thursday when several hundred people, including a large group of photographers, squeezed around their vehicle to watch them arrive. As Kim exited the limo, the attacker lunged at her, tackling her legs and trying to knock her to the ground. TMZ is reporting that the attacker may be Vitalii Sediuk, a Ukrainian prankster who similarly assaulted Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, and Will Smith. According to his rep, Sediuk is taking credit for lunging at Kim. Regardless of whom is responsible, Kim and 'Ye have hired two additional teams of armed bodyguards to protect them whenever they're in public during Fashion Week, claiming that crowd control has been difficult and that they're concerned for their safety. The ramped up security will include traveling in armored vehicles for the remainder of the trip. Check out a video of Kim's assault below.

Paternity Test Proves That Soulja Boy Did Not Father 5 Year-old Boy

Soulja Boy isn't a Soulja Dad just yet. Way back in December 2013, Soulja Boy found himself in the midst of a media frenzy when the rapper's ex-GF Diamond Shantaniece Mackey had claimed he was her son's biological dad. The case gained momentum when Mackey released a photo of her and Soulja (in the gallery above) around the time of her son's conception. Mackey's son, 5-year-old Portlon, reportedly resembles Soulja and the rapper has visited the boy previously. Despite this, TMZ is now reporting that Soulja did not, in fact, impregnate Mackey. Sources close to Soulja Boy tell TMZ that he's pissed that Mackey has been calling him a deadbeat dad. He also expresses sympathy for Portlon, who still doesn't know who his father is. Soulja Boy is hard at work on his latest edition in the King Soulja series

Jason Derulo And Jordin Sparks Reportedly Break Up

Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks split up; E! News calls it "mutual." The past few months have not been kind to high profile couples in the hip-hop/R&B worlds, as Tyga and Blac Chyna, Ciara and Future and most recently, Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose have all called it quits at some point (Ciara and Future got back together though). Now Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks are allegedly the latest to see their relationship fall apart. E! News reports that the R&B power couple's split "was mutual, but they still care very deeply for each other and will remain in each other lives as friends." Derulo and Sparks had been together since September 2011.

Chris Brown's "X" Debuts at #2

Chris Brown slides in at #2 on the Billboard 200 with his album "X." The numbers have arrived for Chris Brown's long-awaited album X. The projections determined that Breezy's new album would sell around 120,000 units opening week. However, the final numbers surpass this. Billboard reports today that Chris Brown's album debuts at #2 on their 200 chart. Barbara Streisand took the top spot with her new album Partners. Nonetheless Brown came strong, moving 146,000 copies opening week. This is his best debut week since his album F.A.M.E. in 2011 (which did 270,000). His last album before X, Fortune, moved 135,000 copies in 2012. Did you cop the new album X? Did it live up to your expectations? Brown's name has seen some drama lately, with the singer's performance at Supperclub in Hollywood ending in a stabbing earlier this week.

Future Announces "Monster" Mixtape With Release Date

Future readies his "Monster" mixtape for October 28th. In August Future was teasing fans about a new single titled "Monster," as well, it was reported that he was working on a mixtape titled Evol. Well, we've since received the song "Monster" but no word on the alleged mixtape-- as it turns out, Future has opted to change the title to Monster (or perhaps Evol was never the title). Today Future took to his Twitter to announce that he's got a new mixtape, Monster, arriving right around Halloween appropriately enough. Monster is set to drop on October 28th. Release Date Revealed for Joe Budden's "Some Love Lost" Album

Joe Budden shares the dark artwork for "Some Love Lost," his next solo project. In the past week, Joe Budden's been hit with some legal problems, first being accused of beating up his girlfriend, and then having the NYPD deem him a "wanted man" for robbery. But for fans of Budden, a bright glimmer of hope has emerged on the horizon: the New Jersey MC has shared the official artwork for his next project, Some Love Lost (viewable in the gallery above). The project, which will serve as a stop-gap between 2013's No Love Lost and the still-in-the-works All Love Lost, does not yet have a release date, but Budden hinted at a fall release while dealing with some Twitter hate: Joe Budden ✔ @JoeBudden Follow #MoodGodBack #ThisFall RT @Jay_F5: @JoeBudden that artwork is a1 smh 2:49 PM - 25 Aug 2014 [Update: Release date revealed] Mark your calendars: Some Love Lost arrives on November 4th.

Big K.R.I.T. announces "Cadillactica" release date

Big K.R.I.T.'s "Cadillactica" arrives on Veteran's Day. Until now, Big K.R.I.T. has been pretty cryptic about the exact release date for his upcoming album, Cadillactica. A few months ago, all he would say was, “It’s gonna be still hot enough outside to ride with your windows down and your top dropped, trust me,” but now he's taken to Twitter to give us the actual drop date. Prefacing his announcement with #PAYATTENTION, Krizzle gave us a November 11th release date. While we're excited that the album's less than two months away, we didn't know that K.R.I.T.'s "windows down" quip only applied to those who live in Mississippi.ñ

kendrick lamar speaks on new single "i"

Kendrick Lamar speaks on getting the Isley Brothers' blessing for the sample on "i." Kendrick Lamar made sure we started off our day on a positive note, with the release of his new single "i." We say positive note, because even though the song may not be what you were expecting, there's no denying that it contains an inspirational message. The rapper spoke about the new single with Power 106's Big Boy Neighborhood following the premiere. "I think music is universal," Kendrick Lamar told Big Boy. "It's an expression. No matter how it comes across, as long as it always remains you, that's how they're gonna respect it and they're gonna have a connection with it." The Compton rapper also spoke on how he received Ronald Isley's blessing to sample The Isley Brothers' "That Lady" on "i." "I got a chance to meet him and even got him on the ad libs for the record," he said. "You can hear him." As HipHopDX reports, during the Power 106 conversation Kendrick revealed that his parents love the single, and that he's currently got seven records complete for the upcoming album. He says they need to be absolute 10s in order to make the sophomore album. "I record a bunch of ideas and I really just sit and live with them until I feel like they got a potential of being a 10," Kendrick said. "Those be the keepers." It's unlikely we will ever get to hear the ones that didn't make the cut, as K. Dot says he plans to keep them in the vault forever, for his own personal enjoyment. What are your thoughts on "i"? Let us know.

Forbes releases Hip Hop Cash Kings list,Dr. Dre tops list

Dr. Dre tops the highest-paid hip-hop artist list with $620 million in earnings. Forbes unleashed their annual Hip-Hop Cash Kings list today, and although Diddy topped the 2013 list last year, he's been dethroned by Dr. Dre in a big way. Of course, most of us knew this was coming as Apple buying out Beats Electronics put a sizeable amount of cash in Dre's pocket. The highest-paid hip-hop artists are broken down with an estimate of their earnings on this list. Dr. Dre is way ahead of the pack, with $620 million to his name ("the $620 million sum is also more than the remaining 24 names on the Hip-Hop Cash Kings list—combined," Forbes says). Jay Z and Diddy now tie for second place, each earning $60 million. Whereas last year we saw Nicki Minaj at #4, her spot has now been taken by another Young Money rapper, Drake, with $33 million. Nicki drops to #11 with $14 million earned. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis sky-rocket up the list to #5 with $32 million (for comparison, last year they clocked in at #15 with $9 million). Forbes can provide you with a more descriptive break-down of the cash, but if you just want to see the numbers look below. 1. Dr. Dre – $620 million 2. Jay Z – $60 million  2/3. Diddy – $60 million  4. Drake – $33 million 5. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis – $32 million 6. Kanye West – $30 million 7. Birdman – $24 million 8. Lil Wayne – $23 million 9. Pharrell Williams – $22 million 10. Eminem – $18 million 11. Nicki Minaj – $14 million 12. Wiz Khalifa – $13 million 13. Pitbull – $12 million 14. Snoop Dogg – $10 million 15. Kendrick Lamar – $9 million 16. Ludacris – $8 million 16. Tech N9ne – $8 million 16. Swizz Beatz – $8 million 16. 50 Cent – $8 million 20. Rick Ross – $7 million 20. J. Cole – $7 million 20. DJ Khaled – $7 million 20. Lil Jon – $7 million 20. Mac Miller – $7 million

Apple to Shut Down Beats Music Streaming Service

Insiders at Beats and Apple say that the tech giant will discontinue Beats' relatively new streaming service. Last week, we learned that Dr. Dre's veritable unicorn of an album, previously thought to be titled Detox, will probably arrive under another title, and today comes the news that you may not be able to stream said album on Dre's own streaming service. Beats Music, a subscription-based streaming service announced by Dre and Jimmy Iovine in January (and bought by Apple in May), will be shutting down in the near future, according to a TechCrunch report. Citing five sources, some of whom are "prominent employees at Apple and Beats," the tech site reports that: "Many engineers from Beats Music have already been moved off the product and onto other projects at Apple, including iTunes. It’s not clear when exactly Jimmy Iovine and Dr Dre’s music service will be shut down or what Apple will do with streaming, but every source with knowledge of the situation that we talked to agreed Apple plans to sunset the Beats Music brand." For the time being, this does not include the headphones that made the Beats brand famous. Stay tuned for more developments.

Chris Brown Talks about Weight Gain & Prison Time

Chris Brown speaks on post-prison weight loss and what he learned from the time he spent locked up. Chris Brown's new album X is currently in stores, and now that the singer is out of jail, he's been getting back into the usual artist routine, which includes things like interviews. The singer sat down with Mario Lopez for Extra recently, and spoke about the weight gain many people noticed, as well as his prison stint experience. "[It was] a humbling experience," Breezy said in reference to being locked up. "It was definitely one of the things I’ll never forget. I think for me, it’s now about what’s the purpose and what’s the goal that Chris Brown as a person and Chris Brown as an artist is trying to portray. And with me, it’s always been positivity, but now it’s more of not just speaking it into existence but actually doing it." He added, "Nobody's invincible. No amount of celebrity status...can deter you away from the real if you make a mistake." As for the weight gain, Chris Brown has since shed the extra pounds, and spoke on how he was able to do it so quickly. "My normal weight is like 180," he revealed to Mario. "I was 215 when I got out of jail. After that I was so conscious, I couldn’t even fit my jeans, none of my clothes. I was scared to go out, I was like ‘Man, people gonna see me, I look fat.’ So after a while, I went and played a lot of basketball, a lot of cardio. Then I did the ‘New Flame’ video, we rehearsed for that, the BET Awards, couple other shows. I was just always dancing, always dancing, trying to get my body back in shape." he added, "Nobody's invincible. No amount of celebrity status...can deter you away from the real if you make a mistake."

50 Cent: "If The Charts Mattered Now, I'd Quit"

While being interviewed about G-Unit's next mixtape, 50 Cent speaks on declining album sales and says "If The Charts Mattered Now, I'd Quit." Among a bevy of much poppier artists, G-Unit performed at this past weekend's iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas, and while backstage, the crew's de facto leader shared some of his thoughts on the gradual decline in record sales we've seen in the past few years. 50 Cent began by talking about The Beast Is G-Unit, the upcoming follow-up to the group's The Beauty Of Independence, and then said some rather surprising things about the state of the industry. Speaking to Billboard, Fif pondered: "You know what you gotta do to sell a million records now? My first album sold 13 million records… If the chart mattered now, I’d quit. Now, compared to that period, you can forget about it. The album [of mine] to sell the worst was the Curtis record, and Em just sold [for The Marshall Mathers LP 2] what I sold the first week on that album. It’s getting smaller and smaller as we go, but no one’s lost interest in great music.” Speaking on The Beast Is G-Unit, he added: “The production has changed. We’re going to start using some of the usual suspects for hits, at the present moment. [Fans] are going to feel the new energy connected to it." Watch the full interview below.

Bow Wow Engaged to Erica Mena

Congratulations to Shad & Erica. Bow Wow (now going by his government name, Shad Moss) and Erica Mena have officially announced their engagement. Shortly after Mr. Moss cryptically posted an image with an engagement ring on his Instagram account, Erica confirmed with ThisIs50’s Jack Thriller that the wedding is definitely taking place. “Is Bow Wow your boyfriend?,” Thriller asked during the 2014 BET Hip-Hop Awards. “Um, he’s actually my fiancé,” Mena replied, flashing the same ring that Moss posted. Readers may be familiar with Erica via her work on "Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta." Bow and Mena have been spotted together in the past, but general Internet consensus seems to indicate that no one knew that the two were this serious. Two weeks ago, Mena posted a photo of herself and Bow with a few emojis as the caption. Check out the aforementioned Instagram photos below. The BET Hip-Hop Awards will air on October 14th at 8PM.

Jamie Foxx,2 Chainz & Dj Mustard sued over "Party Aint A Party" single

In a particularly egregious case of copyright infringement, singer J Rand is suing Jamie Foxx, 2 Chainz and DJ Mustard for allegedly copying him on their song "Party Ain't A Party." Just a week ago, Jamie Foxx, 2 Chainz and DJ Mustard linked up on a song called "Party Ain't A Party" that, in addition to sharing a name with a '90s hit, may be a complete rip off. TMZ reports that a singer by the name of J Rand is suing the trio for copyright infringement of his 2013 song of the same name (which features IAMSU!), and when you listen to the tracks side-by-side, the similarities are pretty unmissable. Rand's track was also produced by Mustard, who released a statement saying that he "did not grant any rights to a third party to exploit the recording." Stay tuned for further developments in this story.

Diddy's Revolt TV Is Having Trouble Bringing Up Viewership

Diddy's Revolt TV faces viewership and money issues in face of the Comcast and Time Warner merger. We've seen Diddy's Revolt TV brand all over the net since its inception last year, but it looks like the TV network itself is having trouble increasing its viewership. The network, which brought The Breakfast Club to TV, will celebrate its one-year anniversary next month, but they're facing issues in terms of bringing up their audience from the original 25 million household base. NY Post reports that the possible Comcast and Time Warner merger is stunting their growth, because it is making it more difficult to get other cable companies to pick up Revolt. Without having additional cable companies carry their network, Revolt is having trouble getting a wider array of advertisers, which puts them in a money crunch. On top of which, the fact that many viewers use the internet for their video content these days doesn't help. "The good news is that we had deals in place with Comcast and Time Warner Cable," CEO Keith Clinkscales said. "They have been excellent partners. However, the merger discussions caused the whole industry to slow down. There’s a general wait and see on a lot of things." Despite Revolt TV facing a bit of financial difficulty (which is common in start-up companies), Diddy is doing just fine for himself. Earlier this week he purchased a $40 million home.

August Alsina Was In A Coma For Three Days

August Alsina reveals he was in a coma for three days, but he's "recovering well" now. August Alsina suddenly collapsed while performing in New York City at the Irving Theatre a few days back, the show was part of his tour with Teyana Taylor. The artist was quickly brought to the hospital, where he's remained for the last several days. The reason for his hospitalization was rumored to be severe dehydration and exhaustion, it was reported he suffered from multiple seizures, something we've seen happen with artists in the past. We haven't actually heard from August since the incident, but today it looks like the singer was finally feeling (a bit) better, and took to Instagram to share an image of what he's been going through the past week, at the same time revealing that he was actually in a coma for three days. Along with the image (which you can view above), August wrote, "This is a bit graphic but i wanted to share this w/ every follower of mine. iWoke up out of a 3 day coma... &This guy @banggang_moneyteam right here never once left my side. What I'm tryna say is cherish the ones in life who cherish you & take good care of yourself. Your life can be gone in a split second'. I'm recovering well and thankyou for all of your prayers & concerns." We're sending our well wishes to August, and hope that he makes a speedy recovery.

Young Thug On Continuing Lil Wayne's "Carter" Series: "He Did 1 To 5, I'm Gonna Do 6 To 10"

Young Thug confirms that Lil Wayne will continue releasing albums following "Tha Carter V", and expresses his desire to continue the iconic album series. Young Thug has been pretty up-front about Lil Wayne's influence on his music, voicing that pairing with Birdman's Rich Gang team is something of a dream come true for him. Ever since getting in with the Cash Money camp, Thug has been adamant about keeping Wayne's legacy alive, announcing that his next album will be titled, Tha Carter VI. He spoke on his decision to go with the title in a recent interview with MTV, revealing that despite Weezy's retirement claims, the Cash Money rapper will be releasing more material following Tha Carter V. "Wayne coming out with more albums so I don't know if he'll name one Tha Carter VI," said Thug, suggesting that Wayne still had first dibs on the title. "It depends what he names his album." However, if he gets the go ahead, Thugger is more than happy to keep the series going well past the sixth installment. "He did 1 to 5, I'm gonna do 6 to 10", revealed Thug with a grin. Big Pun's Widow Sues Fat Joe

Did Fat Joe betray his former protege? Pun's widow seems to think so. Fans of Big Pun probably know that the emcee's entire mainstream career was kickstarted by Fat Joe. Making his commercial debut on Joe's Jealous Ones Envy way back in 1995, the New York emcee was put on the fast track to success, coming out the gate with a platinum major label debut, Capital Punishment, a few years later in 1998. Now, it appears that Joe, the man arguably responsible for Pun's success, isn't willing to share any of profits he's earned off of his protege. In a new lawsuit reported by TMZ (who else?), Big Pun's widow, Liza Rios, is suing Joe for withholding money that she feels that she's entitled to. Apparently, Joe made a deal with Pun to split all proceeds generated from Pun's discography. Naturally, after Pun's passing, the money would then transfer to his widow. The problem? Rios claims that Joe hasn't sent her a penny since 2005, despite releasing several posthumous albums years after Big Pun died.

Big Sean Speaks On Chemistry With Ariana Grande

Big Sean speaks on working with Ariana Grande and their chemistry together. Rumors of a romance have been swirling around Big Sean and Ariana Grande, mainly stemming from when they were caught holding hands backstage at the MTV VMAs. Nonetheless, neither artist has confirmed (nor denied) that there is anything more than a working relationship between the two, yet. Recently MTV News caught up with Sean Don (who's been dropping fire records lately, like this), and spoke about his relationship with Ariana, although he didn't mention anything more than a friendship and 'musical' chemistry. Big Sean claims he was one of the first people to tweet about Ariana's music, and the two have been friends ever since. He also teased that there were more collaborations between the two on the way. "Me and her make a lot of music together and the chemistry between me and her when we work is great," Big Sean told MTV. "We got more in the works too. I feel like her voice is crazy, [just] that that big voice comes out of her is insane. I was probably one of the first people to tweet about her music; me and her been friends for years, before anything else." Before anything else? Hmmm. When asked about the cameras catching him holding hands with Ariana, he replied with a smile: "I had no problem with it." Do you think these two are a couple?

Aaliyah Biopic To Premiere in November

"Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B" will debut in November on Lifetime. After a bit of backlash and a change of actress, the Aaliyah biopic is finally being readied for November, to air on Lifetime TV. Disney star Zendaya Coleman was initially tapped to star as Aaliyah, although after much criticism she ended up dropping out the film, not because of the critics, but because Aaliyah's family wasn't actually on board with the movie. Dr. Dre's "Detox" May Not Actually Be Titled "Detox"

Dr. Dre's work-in-progress may not have retained its original title. Well, it looks like Detox isn't coming after all -- at least not with the title. According to longtime Aftermath producer Dawaun Parker, "He scrapped Detox a couple of years ago and came up with another title. I won’t say what the title is cause I haven’t seen that online or anything yet." This confirms Marsha Ambrosius' similar claims made earlier this year. "Detox was a title that was thrown around so many years ago," she said. "There’s so many other things in the works for you to not be concerned about anyone detoxing. It sounds like a fitness center now. No, you’ll see something else." Parker also revealed there are hundreds of beats laying around but, unfortunately, "the amount of songs isn’t that much because [Dre] won’t let anything that already wasn’t potentially a ten to even get recorded." One song that Parker confirmed did get recorded was Busta Rhymes' 2006 collaboration with Q-Tip and Marsha Ambrosius, "Get You Some," which, while originally slated for Dre's album, landed on Busta's The Big Bang LP. Iggy Azalea Sues Ex-Boyfriend For Allegedly Stealing Her Computer Data & Forgery

Iggy Azalea strikes back at her ex-boyfriend Hefe Wine in a new lawsuit. Iggy Azalea's at-first-mythical sex tape has turned into a real sex tape, and with that, Iggy's got some legal battles to pursue. As we've reported on, Iggy's ex-boyfriend is attempting to sell their sex tape to Vivid Entertainment. The former boyfriend/producer Hefe Wine claims that he has the rights to the tape, as Iggy signed a contract in 2009 giving him just that. Iggy's legal team initially threatened Vivid with a lawsuit, but now Iggy's suing the man behind it, Hefe Wine. Iggy has filed a federal lawsuit against Wine, although the sex tape isn't even mentioned in the suit. The lawsuit alleges that Hefe illegally downloaded all of Iggy's computer contents back when they were living together in Atlanta in 2009. She says the data included the master recordings of unreleased songs. In July, Hefe apparently announced that he would be dropping an Iggy EP that would "shock the world." Iggy's lawsuit accuses the ex of either directly using or altering the stolen data in order to create said EP. On top of this, Iggy accuses Hefe Wine of forgery. She is referring to that contract Hefe says he has, which gives him the rights to her music and videos-- Iggy claims the document is fake, forged together using a legitimate contract she once signed. We'll update you as this lawsuit unfolds.

Kendric Lamar's Single Artwork for "I" revealed

Kendrick Lamar unveils artwork for "I." As reports indicated, Kendrick Lamar is poised to drop a new single in the coming week. Originally the title was thought to be "I Love Myself," but then it was later confirmed to be simply "I." This is confirmed once more with the official single artwork, via the man himself. K. Dot took to Twitter to tweet the artwork, without any other information. The artwork can be viewed in the gallery above. It shows two sets of hands (presumably one belonging to a Blood and one belonging to a Crip) creating a heart shape, pointing towards the lower-case "i." TDE's CEO tweeted last night that new music from both Kendrick and Jay Rock was coming, so keep your eyes peeled. The release date for Kendrick's new single is reportedly Tuesday, September 23rd, so make sure to check back in with HNHH then. Are we all excited? Hypothesize about the track in the comments. s.

Lecrae's "Anomaly" Debuts At #1 On Billboard 200, Jhene Aiko's "Souled Out" At #3

Lecrae's "Anomaly" beats out Jhene Aiko's "Souled Out" for the #1 debut on Billboard's 200 chart. The race between Lecrae and Jhene Aiko for the Billboard 200 #1 spot was a close one, but Lecrae has come out on top. The rapper's new album Anomaly snagged a #1 debut, after moving a reported 88,299 units, according to Hits Daily Double. Jhene Aiko's debut album Souled Out is behind by more than 10,000 units, after selling a still-respectable 71,230 copies opening week. She wasn't able to lock down a #2 because of Maroon 5's V album, nonetheless she comes in at #3. We'll probably see Souled Out do numbers in the long-term, if Sail Out was any indication. The EP fluctuated on the Billboard 200 for quite some time. Lecrae is definitely widening his fanbase, as his sales went up from his last album, 2012's Gravity. Gravity moved 72,000 copies opening week and landed at #3. At the time, that was the biggest sales week for a Christian hip-hop album (although Lecrae doesn't enjoy being categorized as such), so this time around he's beaten his own record. Let us know which of these two albums you supported, and what you thought of either.

First Week Sales Projections For Chris Brown's "X"

Chris Brown will likely break the 100k mark with his new album "X." Earlier today we received a full album stream for Chris Brown's new album X, which just dropped today. Now we've received the first week sales projections for X as well. The long-delayed and much anticipated album is looking like it'll move 120,000 copies opening week, which happens to be the same numbers Jeezy's new album Seen It All did. It's also in line with the numbers Chris Brown's last album Fortune did-- it moved 135,000 copies opening week and debuted at #1. It's unclear if Breezy will get a #1 debut again, as Barbara Streisand's new album is projected to move a similar amount of units. It'll be a close race between the two singers. We'll update you once official numbers for Breezy arrive. Stay tuned for our review as well. [via HitsDailyDouble]

Iggy Azalea Allegedly Gave Her Ex-Boyfriend Rights To Release Sex Tape

Iggy Azalea reportedly signed a contract in 2009 giving her ex-boyfriend the right to release her sex tape. Things aren't looking too good for Iggy Azalea's attempts to block her sex tape from seeing the light of day. Yesterday we reported on how Iggy's legal team threatened to sue the porn company Vivid Entertainment if they try to release the tape under Iggy's name. Now new developments arise, with Iggy's ex-boyfriend (her sex partner in the tape) revealing a few facts to TMZ (who else). The rapper-ex-boyfriend, Hefe Wine, got Iggy to sign a lengthy contract back in 2009 (a piece of said contract can be viewed in the gallery above), which gives him the exclusive rights to "manufacture, sell, distribute and advertise 'any' recording embodying visual images." The contract was apparently signed in reference to songs and music videos, but Wine believes he can also safely release the sex tape, and that Iggy has no legal rights to block it. What's more, the contracts states that Wine has the "legal right to create, host and maintain a website to market Iggy's works," and thus he could create his own website dedicated to the tape.

Gucci Mane Sentenced To 3 More Years In Prison

Gucci Mane adds three more years to his prison sentence after being charged for aggravated assault stemming from a March 2013 incident. Although we haven't seen any lack of Gucci Mane music these days, we won't actually be seeing the rapper himself for another three years. His legal battles continue to thrive, and he was sentenced to another three years in prison following his assault on a fan back in March 2013. You'll recall that GuWop hit an unsuspecting fan on the head with a champagne bottle, and the fan happened to be an army veteran which definitely didn't help Gucci's cause. The fan approached Gucci for an autograph while he was at an Atlanta nightclub, and received a bottle to his head as a result. Although Gucci originally plead not guilty to aggravated assault, now Fulton County Superior Court Judge Tom Campbell has sentenced him to three years in prison for the incident. Gucci was recently sentenced to 39 months in prison on a separate firearms charge, but because of time served he only has 28 months to go. This new sentence will run concurrently with that one. Gucci recently delivered a new album while he was locked up, Mr. Perfect, which you can stream here. There's still plenty more content planned for the Bricksquad rapper.

Jay Electronica, YG, DJ Mustard, Young Thug & More To Perform At BET Hip-Hop Awards

The 2014 BET Hip-Hop Awards tap Snoop Dogg, DJ Mustard, YG, Rich Homie Quan, Jay Electronica and more to perform. Earlier in the month we received the full list of nominations for this year's BET Hip-Hop Awards, which will be airing on TV on October 14th at 8 PM. Today Billboard has announced some of the performers we can expect to see at this year's event. As we already know, Snoop Dogg is returning to host the 2014 awards, and along with hosting duties, he's also set to perform. In addition to Snoop, BET has lined up a wide array of artists: Common, Birdman, DJ Premier, DJ Mustard, Rich Homie Quan, Bobby Shmurda, Young Thug, Vince Staples, Jay Electronica, Migos, YG and Rae Sremmurd. Although the award show is airing on October 14th, it'll be taped beforehand at Atlanta’s Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center on September 20th. Drake leads the pack this year with eight nominations to his name.

Birdman,Young Thug & Rich Homie Quan to release joint mixtape

Birdman, Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan will all release a mixtape as Rich Gang on September 29th. From the trio that brought you "Lifestyle" comes... a mixtape? Yes, Young Thug, Rich Homie Quan, and their generous benefactor Birdman have announced a joint tape under the name Rich Gang. Tha Tour Part 1, as it's titled, drops on September 29th. This news comes courtesy of homophobes' least favorite Instagram account, that of the ever-confounding Young Thug, who shared the artwork and wrote, "Sep. 29 we dropping the YSLRGRH MIXTAPE.... WAIT ON IT!!! @birdman5star @richhomiequan let's get it slimes.." If we had to guess, "YSLRGRH" might stand for Yves St. Laurent Rich Gang Rich Homie, but we're not entirely sure about that. Thugger Thugger also hinted about an accompanying tour on his Twitter.
