Asap Rocky denies smacking a fan

ASAP may have to pay at least $75,000 in damages if found guilty. Last year, it was reported that A$AP Rocky had been charged with assault, stemming from an incident at 2013's Made In America festival in Philadelphia where he allegedly slapped a female fan. Rocky was actually able to avoid charges for quite some time as the case was put on hold until the plaintiff could supply a "viable address" for the rapper. The incident caught up with Rocky in July when he was finally hit with a lawsuit. The woman who filed the claim, Lisamarie Wade, is looking for "compensatory and punitive damages for civil assault and battery, intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress, negligence and premises liability". Now, TMZ reports that Rocky is denying ever having roughed the girl up, instead claiming that fans at the show were very likely responsible. Wade claims the rapper hauled off and smacked her as he made his way through the crowd at his show, knocking her to the ground and disorienting her. In documents acquired by TMZ, Wade claims that ASAP has a long history of bad behavior including a similar incident two months before the Philly show in which he allegedly smacked another fan in Australia. Wade is suing for damages of at least $75K. She claims Rocky's slap caused a string of ailments which interfere with her ability to "enjoy society with her minor child as a young, single mother."
