Jerry Heller is suing Dr. Dre, Ice Cube and "Straight Outta Conpton" for $110 Million

Jerry Heller Jerry Heller is suing everybody involved in "Straight Outta Compton" for a huge sum. Jerry Heller, the former manager of N.W.A., is suing all those involved in the group's recent biopic, Straight Outta Compton, for (at least) $110 million, reports TMZ. Heller, now 75, has just filed a lawsuit against Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, the estate of Eazy-E, NBC Universal, and others for defamation and using his likeness in their film without his permission. Heller claims that Straight Outta Compton wrongly portrayed him as "a sleazy manager who took advantage of Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, and Ice Cube." He said that the movie lied about numerous different scenarios involving him, including him withholding a $75,000 check from Ice Cube, persuading Dre and Cube to sign misleading contracts, and getting fired by Eazy-E. The lawsuit also accuses the film's producers of incorporating pivotal scenes from Heller's memoir, "Ruthless," into the film without permission. Heller wants $35 million in compensatory damages, $75 million in punitive damages, and then the rightful amount of the film's profits, which he and his lawyers believe will bring the total sum to at least $110 million. As of late September, Straight Outta Compton had grossed almost $190 million.

Action Bronson Was Hospitalized for "Emergency Surgery"

Action Bronson Action Bronson was hospitalized, it's unclear why. Action Bronson has been exploring various parts of the world for his food-oriented show "Fuck That's Delicious," which he's taking to the next level thanks to a slot on TV. He's been documenting what he's been eating and where he's been traveling on his Instagram. After visiting Paris, Amsterdam and Copenhagen, he landed in Alaska where, in the past two days, we've seen him feast on raw bowhead whale, beluga whale and blubber, caribou stew, among other dishes. We're not sure what happened in between all the eating, but something's gone awry, and Bronsolino is currently in the hospital. Bam Bam says he had to have to "emergency surgery" while out in Alaska, although he didn't reveal the reason for this surgery, so we're unsure if it'd food-related. "Well this Alaska trip turned into me having emergency surgery," he wrote on his most recent Instagram picture, which shows him lying in a hospital bed wearing a hospital gown. Young Thug Reveals Slime Season 2 Cover Art

young thug Young Thug previews the cover art for "Slime Season 2." Young Thug seems to have two new projects dropping on Halloween. The first is a collaborative mixtape with Migos, titled Migos Thuggin, and the second is a follow up to his recent Slime Season mixtape, Slime Season 2. Last night Thugger took to Instagram to reveal the cover art for Slime Season 2, and reiterate the release date. The artwork shows Young Thug being held up by puppet strings, while hands above him manipulate the strings-- perhaps a jab at the industry? In another Instagram video, posted afterwards, Thug previewed some music while chilling with the two free members of Migos, Quavo and Takeoff. He included a cryptic caption, insinuating that he will be dropping either Migos Thuggin or SS2 on the 31st: "#migosthuggin OCT. 31st Or SS2????" Either way, it is likely we'll be getting some new Thug tunes to bump on Halloween, whether that be in the form of Migos Thuggin or in the form of Slime Season 2. Peep the two Instagram videos below, the first being the cover art reveal. Slime Season 2 Cover

Young Thug Says The Breakfast Club "Is The Devil"

the breakfast club Young Thug disses The Breakfast. Power 105.1's morning show, The Breakfast Club, often stir up controversies because they aren't shy in digging for gossip or speaking their mind, whether that's with and without guests. Of course, Charlmagne Tha God is the main perpetrator, because he'll say whatever the fuck he wants too to an artist/about an artist, whether or not that may be an opinion shared with the masses. Young Thug is obviously a very polarizing character to begin with, making him an easy target for Breakfast Club fodder. You may recall that the recent beef between The Game and Young Thug seemingly started because of a Breakfast Club interview, where Charlamagne and The Game were subtly throwing shots at Thugger ("Cause they're disrespectful. And they'll be talking crazy at you with a dress on"). For those fans hoping that maybe, one day, Thug would do a Breakfast Club sit-down (has he ever even done any typical interview like that?), it's probably never going to happen. Thug hopped on twitter to say, "Breakfast club is the devil !" It's unclear what provoked him to say that at this exact time, but Charlamagne caught wind and quoted the tweet with a bunch of cry-laughing emojis.

Waka Flocka Blasts His label,Asks To Buy Out(Again)

Waka Flocka Waka Flocka went on a twitter rant, blasting his label Atlantic in the process. Waka Flocka has aired out his grievances with his label on a public platform before, and he's taken to it again this afternoon. He's actually echoing similar statements he made in April of this year, when he asked to buy out of his Atlantic contract. Well, looks like he still wants that buy-out. Taking to twitter in a lengthy rant which also breaks down some label politics, Waka started, "I fucking hate my label." He continued, "Atlantic Records ----- LET ME BUY-OUT FUCK!!!!" "Labels don't do shit for the artist #FACTS Labels don't invest #FACTS Labels hire a bunch of amateurs to keep cost down #FACTS. The first thing the label asked after I got shot is --- "can you go to the studio" From that day forward I knew my label didn't care I'm just another dollar sign. You mother fuckers woke the beast back up," he tweeted in succession. From there, he went into some of the gritty details when it comes to major labels/large corporations in general.

The Game Declares Young Thug the Lead Singer of the fictional band "Wack MCs"

the game The Game-Young Thug beef rages on. The Game/Young Thug beef started back in May when Game came to Lil Wayne's defense during the Thugger/Tunechi beef. “I dare a pussy nigga to walk through California and say 'fuck Wayne," Game said. "I’ma do a nigga like I did 40 Glocc... I will fuck Young Thug up.” It's not hard to see why The Game and Young Thug have been beefing -- they are polar opposites in every way. And now that Game has been doing a ton of interviews recently to promote The Documentary 2, it is not surprising that the beef has been resurrected, given his outspoken nature. Last week The Game took shots at Thugger during his performance of "Hate It Or Love It" on Skee TV, rapping, “Since I was 10 years old, I was a young Blood/ These days y’all niggas got Young Thug." A few days later, he stopped by a packed studio at LA 92.3 to chop it up with local radio legend Big Boy. The Game was asked to name three rappers to form a fictional group called the Wack MCs. “The lead singer is Young Thug. For sure,” he said. He named Lil B the wackest MC a few years ago, but it appears that The Based God has been dethroned.

Drake Gets A "Boy Better Know" Tattoo

Skepta BBK x OVO are family for life. Thanks to big co-signs from Drake and Kanye West, the U.S. finally seems to be ready to appreciate the UK's Skepta. Although his name has been entangled more closely with that of Drake's, Skepta isn't officially signed to OVO, more like an OVO-approved act. It seems this works both ways, as Drizzy tatted Skepta's own crew, BBK, aka Boy Better Know, on his upper arm. Skepta gave us a peak at the new tattoo when he posted it up on Instagram, along with the caption, "More than music. OVO BBK family for Life." Take a look at the new ink above. Fans are currently waiting on Skepta's album, Konnichiwa, which doesn't have a release date yet. Skepta

Jas Prince is Requesting $11 Million in Drake Royalties From Cash Money

Jas Prince an Drake Jas Prince, a.k.a. the guy that discovered Drake, is (still) coming for Cash Money. You may remember that Jas Prince, a.k.a. the man who discovered Drake, filed legal documents against Cash Money earlier this year, demanding that they open their books and reveal the dollar amount they made off of Champagne Papi. He was back in court last week, claiming that he Cash Money owes him $11 million in Drake royalties, reports Jasmine Brand. Jas signed Drake to Aspire Music Group in 2007. Not long after, Cash Money approached him about signing Drake and allegedly agreed to pay Jas & Aspire 22% of all Drake’s advances, net profits, and other advances. The $11 million figure comes from 22% of $40 million -- the amount he believes Cash Money made off of Drake. Cash Money claimed they owed money to Aspire, not Jas. In his recent court appearance, Jas claimed that the deal he signed with Aspire gave him the commission on Drake's music. He has also filed a lawsuit against Lil Wayne’s manager and Aspire executive Cortez Bryant regarding his deal with Aspire. Jas claims that a conflict of interest has prevented Bryant and Aspire from collecting the money owed to him. Jas' deal with Aspire prohibits him from suing Cash Money, and he has demanding that the court appoint a temporary receiver to sue Cash Money on his behalf. The judge has yet to make a ruling.

T.I. on Travis Scott:"I Swear That Man is Iggy, In A Black Man's Body"

T.I. T.I. speaks on his relationship with Travi$ Scott. We've seen Travi$'s give-no-fucks attitude first-hand; he won't hesitate to put a fan, a security guard or a videographer in their place, real quick. His attitude also extends to authority figures, even T.I.P. can get some if he wants too. During a recent interview with DJ Whoo Kid, T.I. spoke on his relationship with Hustle Gang affiliate Travi$ Scott, and how not even he can control the Houston rapper. "Travi$ Scott accepts no advice or instruction from the likes of me," Tip tells Whoo Kid. "Only thing I can take credit for is recognizing his talent and putting him in the position to where he could put music out. That's the only thing I could take credit for. He is anti-establishment and anti-authority to the point where, if I suggest something to him, that's how I know he ain't gon' do it." "I know he gon' be mad as hell for me saying this, but that man is Iggy in a black man's body," T.I. says of Travi$. We'll have to see if that statement warrants a response. What do you think? Catch the whole interview with T.I. below. The rapper also spoke on a whole bunch of joint projects he has in the stash, and whether or not he'd vote for Kanye (nah).

big k.r.i.t. Big K.R.I.T. says he's got a new project coming out "very soon." The BET Hip-Hop Awards red carpet is always a busy affair, and while most artists stopped by for a quick shout out, we managed to get more than a few words in with Big K.R.I.T. Krizzle, who has been on the road for his "Kritically Acclaimed" tour, teased fans about a new project, which could drop any day now. During the quick red carpet interview, K.R.I.T. tells us, "I got a new project coming out for the people. It’s gon’ be out very soon, like, very soon." He adds at the end of the interview, "This new project is definitely gon’ be out, probably by the time this hit the air." K.R.I.T., it's live now so feel free to drop that project!

Future Buys Drake Diamond-Encrusted FBGOVO Ring

FBG OVO rings Future got Drake (and himself) a really big ring. Diamonds were a major theme of Drake and Future's recent joint album, What a Time to Be Alive. Diamonds adorned the Shutterstock cover art and were the subject of the tape's second biggest hit (currently at No. 53). Well, in that case, diamonds may have been a metaphor for dancers at the Diamonds of ATL strip club, but regardless, the two rappers clearly bonded over the sparkling stones, and as a tribute to the album's success, Future has given Drake a FBGOVO ring full of blinging rocks. Drake wasn't lying when he said he said, "We need some really big rings." Drake shared a video showing Future's gift on Instagram last night while he softly sung "Diamonds on me dancin'."

Dr.Dre Wants to Tour Europe with Snoop Dogg,Eminem and Kendrick Lamar

dre and snoop Dr. Dre dreams of carrying out a "Beats & Rhymes" tour in Europe with Snoop, Eminem, and Kendrick. Snoop Dogg guested on Dr. Dre's Beats 1 radio show "The Pharmacy" last night (Oct. 10), and as the legendary duo reminisced about their classic collaborations, Dre spoke of a wild concoction that he wants to employ in the future. European hip-hop heads will be happy to know that one of Dre's future dreams is to take a full live show to Europe and bring his most renowned collaborators with him -- Snoop, Eminem, and Kendrick Lamar. "This is one of the things that I dreamed about doing. I want to call it Beats & Rhymes. I want it to be me and Snoop. I want it to be Eminem. I want it to be Kendrick Lamar. Do a tour over in Europe and call it Beats & Rhymes and take our full production over there and take our full stage over there and really go over there and show Europe the same amount of love that they been showing me throughout my entire career. So, that’s my dream. Hopefully we can make that happen." As Dre was explaining his "Beats & Rhymes" tour, Snoop quickly interjected and suggested an improved title for the spectacle: "Your dream sounds like Woodstock on steroids. Let's call it Hoodstock." We won't put anything past Dr. Dre, but if he isn't able to haul the full show over to Europe, we'd be more than happy with our own Hoodstock. Think Dre will bring this pipe dream to life?

Kevin Gates Speaks on Kicking Female Fan in Florida, and his $90,000 Dog

Kevin Gates Kevin Gates speaks on his alleged assault at a Florida concert as well as his relationship with his $90,000 pitbull. Kevin Gates did a press run recently to promote his upcoming debut album, Islah. Most of the interview questions he faced, though, dealt with recent controversies he's been involved in, such as when he kicked a teenage female fan in the chest during a concert in Florida, for which he's since been charged with assault. Gates first addressed the incident on Sway in the Morning, but he mainly let his answer be released via his new single, "The Truth." In a subsequent interview with Complex, he further defended his alleged assault, and he also talked about his relationship with his $90,000 pitbull (which has also earned him some notoriety). He explained his actions in Florida by imagining if a similar situation had happened with a female artist performing and a male fan perhaps inappropriately touching her, the opposite gender roles of the situation in which Kevin found himself. "But I'll say this, I'll use Nicki Minaj again 'cause people tell me that women love her and people love her: If I was to go front row while she was on stage performing and stick my finger in her pussy, and she kicked me in the mouth and knocked one of my gold teeth out, I would be wrong. I would be wrong for that, and that's all I'll say. To touch someone’s genitals without their consent is a sexual battery." You can watch footage of the brutal kick here, but, in the same interview, Gates said that his camp has attained footage of the entire situation, not just the kick, which he thinks will alter the public perception (as well as that of the judge) surrounding his actions. Gates was then asked about another one of his controversial, albeit less violent, stunts -- when he posted an Instagram video in which he claimed to have kicked a woman out of his house because she wouldn't perform oral sex on his dog. Gates denied that he ever kicked out said woman, who was apparently present when he made the recording, and said that he simply put up the video because she didn't want the dog in the bed and he wanted to show some respect to his pooch, who apparently cost him $90,000. "It's a micro exotic bully. I wouldn’t give a damn if a bitch -- I wouldn't let a bitch suck my dog's dick. You know how expensive? His nut cost 10 grand. People pay me 10 grand just to mail them the semen from my dog. ’Cause I got the most exotic dog in the game. God blessed me with it." Do you find Gates' side of the Florida story to be convincing? Gates will release Islah on December 11.

Lil Wayne Sex Tape Leaks

Lil Wayne It’s been a rough year for Lil Wayne. The New Orleans legend was hoping to have Tha Carter V out by the end of 2014, but it was held up by a feud with his longtime mentor, label boss and father figure, Birdman. That album still isn’t out, and Birdman is threatening legal action against the Jay Z-owned streaming service Tidal for issuing Wayne’s free, stopgap release The Free Weezy Album. What’s more: Birdman’s new protege, Young Thug, dropped an acclaimed mixtape called Barter 6; the same month that dropped, Wayne’s tour bus was shot in Atlanta, allegedly by PeeWee Roscoe. (In Roscoe’s indictment, Georgia authorities named–but declined to charge–Thug and Birdman.) Now, of all things, a sex tape. The footage, the existence of which has been rumored for some time, hit the Internet today (Oct. 12), and depicts a man who appears to be Wayne having sex with two women. (The video, which is very obviously not safe for work or nearly any other environment, can be viewed here via In Flex We Trust.) Perhaps the most interesting thing to come from the leak has been the reaction from Karrine Steffans, the author, model and actress who is also known semi-affectionately as Superhead. Steffans was involved with Wayne for some time, and took to her Twitter account to talk about how Wayne’s sex was subpar. But after that came a discussion of how men and women are treated differently in the public sphere, specifically with regard to sexuality. [Via XXLmag.com]

Kid Cudi Warns Fans "Man On The Moon 3" Will Be Nothing Like the Other Installments

Kid Cudi Kid Cudi explains that "MOTM3" is "just a title". Kid Cudi has developed something of a cult following over the course of his last few releases, which have become increasingly experimental. Still, there are no projects more beloved in the Cudi catalog than the first two Man On The Moon projects (excluding his mixtape work that is). When Cudder announced plans to record Man On The Moon 3 (assumed to be released after his impending double LP, Speedin' Bullet To Heaven), early fans disappointed with his recent output rejoiced at the assumption that the project would be a return to his more accessible form, but according to Cudi, we'll never hear that side of him again. "News Flash: motm3 doesn't exist. Its just a title. It will be nothing like any of my previous work just like all my releases," he wrote on Twitter. My first 2 albums were meant to be untopped. I didn't even think Id live to make another record after motm 2... My point is, u cant top timeless. And that was what we aim for everytime." The rapper respectfully told fans expecting to hear his early sound again to give up hope, writing, "So, if you dont like what Im doin now, please abort the train. Do not buy my music from here on out. Its not for you. No hard feelings." He went on to say that he'll have a release date to announce very soon, which should be for Speedin Bullet To Hell, rather than MOTM3, or perhaps they're now one in the same? We'll keep you updated with new info. Read his full address below. Are you excited to hear new things from Cudi, or sad to know he won't be revisiting the MOTM style?

Rick Ross Announces New Album Title

Rick Ross image Rick Ross reveals the title of his new album is "Black Market." defendant Rick Ross was on The Breakfast Club on Power 105.1 this morning, where he not only premiered his new single "Sorry," he revealed the title of the album it's attached too. Rozay actually delivered a more candid interview than usual, he tends to dance around questions and not truly answer them, but during the 27-minute Breakfast Club interview he actually does deliver some useful answers. He also brought his fiancee, Lira Galore (or Lira Mercer) along, and the two even displayed some PDA with Lira sitting on Rozay's lap and Rozay busting a smile (!). During the interview, Ross addresses how he was sued for rape recently, despite not being named as a defendant or being involved. He also spoke on the Meek Mill/Drake beef ("it's good for the culture"), and whether or not the two would ever collaborate again. From Rozay's perspective the beef was light work (unlike Ross' own beef with 50 Cent). Towards the end of the interview, Ross speaks on the impact of his Black Dollar mixtape, and reveals the title of his new album-- Black Market. He really doesn't any specifics about the album apart from the title, and the fact that it'll be in stores in December. "You know, we don't really experiment a lot, ya dig," Ross says as he led up to the album title. "But we do is build on what we got and take it to the next level. And I think that's what this project is a lot about-- you know just touching the streets with Black Dollar and introducing them to the new album, which is titled Black Market." Watch the full interview below. Are you excited for Black Market?

Jeezy Shares Church In the Streets Album Cover

Jeezy Jeezy has shared the artwork for his upcoming album Church in These Streets. On the album cover, Jeezy looks like a true veteran -- literally -- as he's got various medals of honor pinned to his tightly fitting wool suit. Church in These Streets looks to be Jeezy's most political as well as spiritual album yet. In fact, he's been holding a weekly #SundayService, dropping a new record from the album each week. Tracks like "God" as well as the title track kept closely to the church theme, but last week Pastor Young changed it up and released the club-ready "Gold Bottles," produced by London on da Track. We'll see if Jeezy's got a late-night mass in store for us tonight. Church in These Streets will be released on November 13. Church in these Streets Cover

Fetty Wap's First Week Sales #s are In

Fetty Wap Fetty Wap will debut at the top of the charts this week. After dominating the singles chart for the last few months, Fetty Wap is officially taking over the Billboard 200, with his self-titled debut landing at the number one spot in its first week. Fetty Wap surpassed already high expectations by moving 129,000 units with streams (75k traditionally), making it the first rap debut to hit number one its first week since ASAP Rocky's Long.Live.ASAP in 2013. It pushes Drake and Future's What A Time To Be Alive (which sells 107k this week) out of the first slot. We should see the release reflected in the Hot 100 charts as well. We'll have more on that in the next few days. Meanwhile, Fetty is still recovering from injuries he suffered in a motorcycle accident last weekend. We're sure he'll be happy to hear the news.

Drake's "Hotline Bling" Video is Coming Soon

Drake in Austin Tx Drake announced the "Hotline Bling" video on Instagram Sunday. It's been a busy Sunday on Drake's Instagram. The OVO rapper peppered his timeline with photos of his performance at Austin City Limits last night, only to cap things off with yet another shirtless selfie that has already been greeted with open displays of thirst from women everywhere. Amidst the many posts, Drizzy made a brief but important announcement, captioning one of his show photos with "Video for Hotline Bling coming soon". Drake generally takes his time with videos, if he even decides to film them at all. Thus, the confirmation that his biggest single in a minute is getting official visual is an exciting prospect. His last video for "Energy" was certainly an ambitious concept, so we're interested to see what he'll do for "Bling". It's currently sitting at number 4 on the Hot 100, so a popular video launch could send it further up the charts. Could Drake's first solo number one be on its way?

A Migos and Young Thug "Migos Thuggin" Mixtape is on the Way

Migos an Young Thug Young Thug and Migos to release "Migos Thuggin." Bang. Hoooly shit, we definitely weren't expecting this. We knew Thug had Slime Season 2 on the way. But an upcoming mixtape with Migos?! Preposterous. Thugger first shared an Instagram video of himself rapping along to an unheard collaboration with Migos. "THE TAPE OTW!" he captioned the post. Perhaps we'll get a Migos collab on SS2? Quavo was one of the few features on Slime Season. THE TAPE OTW! A video posted by CESAR THE APE!!!!!!! (@thuggerthugger1) on Oct 3, 2015 at 2:14pm PDT But nope. Quavo has since confirmed that a joint tape between Migos and Thugger is indeed on the way. MigosThuggin OTW!! #FreeOffset Tha Mixtape A video posted by QuavoHuncho (@quavohuncho) on Oct 3, 2015 at 5:07pm PDT Of course, when we say Migos, we mean Quavo and Takeoff, as Offset is still locked up. I'm sure they've got some Offset verses in the vault, though, and maybe he'll get out in time to finish up the tape. Now, will Migos Thuggin top all of the material that both Thug and Migos have put out this year? By the way, Thugger, we're still waiting on that Metro Thuggin. UPDATE: Here's the cover art to Migo Thuggin. Migos Thuggin Cover

London on da Track Responds to Gay Rumors After Video Shows "Gay Porn" in Studio

London on da Track London on da Track responds to gay rumors following a viral video showing "gay porn" while he was in the studio. Earlier this week, producer Beatmonster Marc posted a seemingly harmless video of himself hanging out with a bunch of guys, one of whom happened to be London on da Track, while a Young Thug song plays in the background. During the clip, though, the camera passes over a TV monitor, on which there appears to be video of two men hooking up. Of course, there have been gay rumors surrounding Young Thug ever since he got big, and, upon hearing the Thug track in the background, social media instigators and thirsty media outlets assumed that the Slime Season rapper must have been involved. They also extended the gay rumors to Thug's primary producer, London on da Track. London has since angrily responded to the questioning of his sexuality. "Y'all n*ggas really miss me with that gay shit...Y'all fuck n*ggas know I ain't motherfucking gay. Y'all n*ggas better check my motherfucking face card. Real savage, n*gga," said London in his response video. Beatmonster Marc has also responded to the controversy, telling VladTV that Young Thug wasn't at the studio at which the video was shot. Instead, everyone was gathered to work on a record for Kid Ink, who was, apparently, present. He also said that the HBO series "Game of Thrones" was what was on the television at the time when the camera spotted the homosexual love scene. Any Thrones heads out there that are willing confirm this? In any case, WorldStar has just uploaded the video with a rather misleading title, which you can see below. Regardless of whatever was on that screen, the most valuable information we've gotten from this ordeal is that there might be a forthcoming collab between Kid Ink and London on da Track.

Amber Rose's Mom to Kanye West: "F*ck Yo 30 Showers"

Amber Rose Amber Rose's mother had a message for Kanye West while marching in her daughter's SlutWalk. Today (Oct. 3), Amber Rose held her first ever SlutWalk in L.A. The parade's mission is to put an end to slut-shaming and other forms of bullying directed at women and other marginalized groups. After the event kicked off, Rose posted a picture on Instagram of her mother walking in the parade holding a sign that reads, "FUCK YO 30 showers!" The sign is a response to the comments Kanye West made about Amber, his ex-girlfriend, earlier this year on The Breakfast Club, when he said, "I had to take 30 showers before I got with Kim," in response to Amber's allegations that Kim sent Kanye naked pictures while they were still together. We tend to think of West as one of the more progressive figures in the industry, so it's surprising to look back on his degrading comments. Props to Amber, and her mother, for taking ownership of the now infamous insult.

Hip Hop is The Most Streamed Genre in The World

Jay an Kanye Hip hop's young audience tends to gravitate towards streaming rather than downloading. Hip hop/R&B is the most streamed genre on the planet, according to the New York Times. The genre comprises 17 percent of all industry album sales but 26 percent of streams, due in large part to hip hop's young audience. Hip hop's share of the top 500 artists on Spotify is up 16 percent from 2014 and it is dominating rock in first-week streams this year -- the best week for a rock group in 2015 was Mumford & Sons' Wilder Mind, which garnered 15.4 million streams its first week in May. By comparison, here were the most-streamed rap/R&B albums: Drake and Future's WATTBA -- 40.3 million streams Drake's IYRTITL -- 48 million Kendrick Lamar's TPAB - 38 million The Weeknd's BBTM - 57 million But it's not just new albums. According to Nielsen senior analyst David Bakula, 60% of hip hop/R&B streams are songs that are over 18 months old. Streaming is taking over the game, and so is hip hop.
