Tidal To Host Exclusive Lil Wayne & 2 Chainz Concert This Week

2 Chainz & Lil Wayne Lil Wayne is a part-owner of Tidal, and in a few days, he will use the platform to provide a live stream of an exclusive "ColleGrove" concert in Atlanta, where he'll be joined by 2 Chainz. The concert goes down on Wednesday, March 30 at 9pm at the Tabernacle in Northwest Atlanta, and entry will only be granted to Tidal members. The show will be in support of 2 Chainz' ColleGrove album, released at the beginning of the month. Lil Wayne featured on 8 of the album's 12 tracks, though it was released via Def Jam and, therefore, does not count toward Weezy's contract with Cash Money. Both artists have already performed certain tracks off the album together on stage. Earlier this month, at the beginning of SXSW, they performed the Mannie Fresh-produced single "Gotta Lotta" as well as the Mr. 2-17-produced "Blue C-Notes" during a party that was streamed on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. Watch here. You can RSVP to the #TIDALXCOLLEGROVE show here, and Tidal will then provide further details via e-mail on how to gain entry into the concert.

The Game Teases "1992" Artwork, Says It's "Coming Soon"

The Game The Game has some new music on its way. Back In December, The Game hinted at what appeared to be a new project with rising producer, BONGO ByTheWay, which he suggested would not feature any guest appearances. A few months later, he's deleted the original post, but has now shared a brand new cover inspired by Lil Wayne's iconic Carter III, showing a young Game rocking his now very recognizable L.A. tattoo beside his right eye. The rapper did not reveal any further details beyond the familiar phrase "coming soon" (which is actually exactly what he said back in December), so there's no way of knowing when this new music will arrive, but we're hoping it'll be within the next month or two. Check out the post below. Think this will be an EP? album? mixtape? Let us know in the comments. 1992 Cover Art

Meek Mill Reportedly Denies Quentin Miller Assault Occurred

Meek Mill Sources claim that Meek Mill has questioned Quentin Miller's story regarding an incident that occurred in an L.A. Nike Store. Yesterday, an interview with Quentin Miller got quite a bit of attention when the rapper and Drake collaborator claimed that he was approached by Meek Mill and his crew, before being sucker-punched by one member of the group after he refused to publicly apologize to Meek. The confrontation was said to be over the letter Miller wrote in response to Meek's attempt to out him as a ghostwriter. Meek Mill, who is currently under house arrest for an unrelated probation violation, seemed to voice his disagreement with the story via an Instagram post, but now TMZ has reported that the rapper has further thoughts on the alleged incident. A source told the gossip site that Meek has questioned the fact that no video evidence of the altercation has surfaced, despite it all happening in a busy public location. The source also suggested that Miller might simply be the messenger in this scenario; "Meek thinks Drake masterminded Miller's story ... just to take a shot while he's on house arrest." For the time being, the most reliable source is that Instagram post, which at least confirms that Meek is not on board with Quentin's recollection of the events. View it here.

Wale Plans To Release Two Albums In 2016

Wale Wale announces plans for two 2016 albums, shares details on MMG's "Self Made Vol. 4." Back in January, Wale announced a new album by the name of Shine, giving us the name only and no other details, and now we've got a slight update. In an interview with Complex at SXSW, the MMG rapper spoke on his upcoming fifth album and gave some additional hints about two more new projects. First off, Shine is apparently an acronym that stands for "Still Here Ignoring Negative Energy," and it's about 80% complete. Kehlani and Nez & Rio are involved, but there's no release date yet. In addition, Folarin said that he'll "for sure" have another solo album out in 2016, and will also executive produce MMG's upcoming group project Self Made Vol. 4.

The Game Attends 50 Cent's Party In Hollywood

The Game Looks like this decade-old beef is finally lightening up. The Game recently made amends with Lloyd Banks, and now, perhaps, he's on his way to doing just that with his primary G-Unit foe: 50 Cent. On Thursday night, Game decided to hop on Instagram while he was lit as hell in the club and reflect on the days, now over a decade ago, when he and 50 had been close collaborators. "Me n this nigga used to be tight as @Kehlani pussy," he wrote in a since-deleted post that obviously provoked the ire of the young R&B songstress whose body he used as a metaphor for his relationship with 50 Cent. He went on to praise the effects of 50's own EFFEN vodka, and last night, too, Game was seen wielding multiple EFFEN bottles and racking up a $7800 tab at the Playhouse club in Hollywood. And the party at which Game bought all those bottles was being hosted by none other than 50 Cent. It's unclear if they ever encountered each other inside the club, but apparently Game's manager, the now-infamous Wack 100, talked to 50 prior to Game's arrival to let him know that they weren't interested in any drama. Wack left a comment on an Instagram post today explaining how he was able to bring the two longtime rivals together under the same roof. "As always I make things come together," he wrote. "Fuck what the media talking about the animals in the jungle rule the jungle! @50cent @wack100 2 bosses with a mutual understanding. Respect, through a handshake." TMZ caught up with Game while he was on his way into the club, and though he didn't explicitly state his attendance was his way of reaching out to 50, he did admit that he has no interest in furthering their beef. "I ain't got no tension, man. 2016, I got too much money to be mad."

Mannie Fresh Explains Healing Lil Wayne & Birdman's Conflict With "Hate" Collab

Mannie Fresh an Juvenile Mannie Fresh explains how he was able to get Lil Wayne and Birdman to both guest on "Hate." After a hostile $51 million feud that spanned the entirety of last year, Lil Wayne and Birdman were spotted at the same party on New Year's Eve. Then, they were both seen in the studio with Yo Gotti, and then, at the end of February, they were heard on the same track, "Hate," which also features Juvenile and is produced by Mannie Fresh -- the whole Hot Boys lineup, aside from B.G. and Turk. Slowly but surely, Wayne and Bird have been restoring their old father-son relationship, but there are still some wounds to be healed, explains Mannie Fresh, a driving force behind the reconciliation. In a new interview with Genius, Fresh explained that "Hate" started out just with Juvenile. They were going for a throwback Hot Boys sound, so they decided to call up Wayne. It turns out that Wayne was at a studio two blocks away, and he enthusiastically told them to bring the song over. Then, in another coincidental turn, Fresh ran into Birdman, and he decided to ask the Cash Money prez if he'd be willing to lace "Hate" with one of his famed intros. Birdman agreed, and expressed his fascination about the collab -- "we should do it more often." What's more, apparently the trio of Weezy, Juvie, and Mannie have plenty more collabs on the way, taken from that same recording session. "We probably did five songs that night, songs with that old Cash Money sound," said Fresh. "The hard part is convincing them to do the whole [Hot Boys] album." Fresh also took the time to admit that Birdman and Wayne are still working out some issues, as there were a lot of hard feelings to come from last year's highly-scrutinized fallout, which led to a dramatic lawsuit that is constantly being pushed back -- and one that's still going on despite their tempered attitudes toward one another. Mannie believes he alleviated some of the tension by expressing to each of them this idea: "We can resolve all that behind the curtain, but for now, let's make music for the people." Supposedly, that resonated with the two leading faces of the Cash Money brand. "When it all started coming together, the brotherly love came out."

Tory Lanez & Jacquees Have Squashed Their Beef

Tory Lanez and Jacquees met up at South By Southwest. South By Southwest can really do everything. In addition to providing dope performances for fans, it can also be a means for reconciliation. Back in late February, Tory Lanez and Jacquees fell into a brief Twitter beef that was started when Tory Lanez responded flippantly to a post from the new Cash Money signee. Lanez wasn’t having it when Jacquees declared that he was coming for every R&B artist not named Chris Brown, and Jacquees ended up calling the Toronto singer a “watermelon head ass,” among other things. Fast forward to SXSW, where the two linked up and appear to have squashed any ill will that may have stemmed from their spate on Twitter. Jacquees posted a photo of the two together at SXSW, and although he called Tory Lanez a watermelon head again, it appears to have been in good fun this time. The two are on to bigger things, as they should be, and hopefully we’ll hear a collaboration between the two talented artists soon.

Afeni Shakur's Husband Wants Part Of The Tupac Estate For Alimony

Afeni Shakur does not want her soon to be ex-husband to get any alimony from the Tupac Estate. Part of Tupac Shakur’s estate may end up as part of a divorce settlement, as Tupac Shakur’s mother Afeni Shakur is currently embroiled in a divorce with her husband Gust Davis. They have been married for 12 years but have been living apart for over a year. TMZ reported details of the suit, including exactly how much the family makes and what Davis wants in the divorce. The Tupac Estate currently brings in roughly $900,000 a year, but after expenses & taxes that number is more like $20,000. Davis wants half of that monthly total for the rest of his life, as well as possession of his Jaguar and a 50 acre North Carolina ranch that the two purchased when they were still on good terms. It’s up to a judge to decide how the assets will be divided, but Afeni has filed to block the alimony request. However, for some reason the couple didn’t sign a prenup before they got married, which is not good news for Afeni Shakur. Just goes to show, you don’t have to be female to be a gold digger.

Young Thug Reveals Release Date For "Slime Season 3"

Young Thug Young Thug's does another unique marketing approach to announce the release date for "Slime Season 3." It looks like Young Thug has taken another unique approach for his latest news announcement. A couple weeks ago, Thugger was seen riding around the streets of ATL on horse in support of his upcoming "Hy!£UN35" tour, and now on Friday he did another off-the-wall marketing strategy to promote his upcoming Slime Season 3 project. While down in Austin, Texas for this year’s SXSW Festival, Thugger decided to spray paint a black casket with the SS3 release date, logos, and his YSL apparel line all over it, and have it walk in a funeral procession down Austin’s busy 6th street while being led by a marching band. As expected, the marketing ploy worked, and many bystanders/fans were able to capture pictures of it on social media. As for the Slime Season 3 release date, fans will be happy to hear that it arrives next week, March 25! Are Drake & Kendrick Lamar Planning A Collaboration?

Kendrick an Drake Thomas Jefferson suggests that a collaboration between Drake and Kendrick Lamar may be on the way. Rumors are circulating online suggesting that there could be a collaboration brewing between Kendrick Lamar and Drake. Many have presumed there to be a longstanding beef between the two rappers, though much of that narrative is likely the result of the media being unable to resist the temptation of pitting the game's two biggest stars against one another. In any case, dropping a song together would lay to rest any rumors of bad blood between the camps at OVO and TDE. Word of a potential collab with Kendrick started after Drake posted a picture of a sculpture of a hand making a signal that looks like the number 6, much like the cover art to his latest single, "Summer Sixteen." In between the model hand's middle and ring fingers is a stack of $2 bills, a rarity for anyone familiar with U.S. currency, including the Canadian rap star. At first glance, Drake's Instagram post doesn't seem to be anything exceptional, though as luck would have it, Kendrick Lamar was also recently seen clutching a stack of $2 bills (with his actual hands) during footage taken from a recent recording session. What's even more rare than the elusive bank notes are collaborations between the two best rappers from each of the neighboring North American nations, the most recent one being "Poetic Justice," which appeared on 2012's good kid, m.A.A.d. city. It would be hard for the pair to top that effort, though whatever they've got for us next will certainly be a thing of rare beauty. So, is it merely coincidence that Drake and Kendrick have each been spotted wielding stacks of $2 bills? Need further convincing? Well, as a moderator of the KTT forum pointed out, via his Twitter account, Drake and TDE CEO Anthony Tiffith sat courtside together at a Clippers game in November. The evidence is still far from incontrovertible, though these initial rumors have got us excited for what could be the collaboration of the year. Blac Youngsta Shows Up In Young Dolph's Neighborhood Heavily-Armed

Blac Youngsta Blac Youngsta pulls up in Young Dolph's home neighborhood with many guns and many shooters. Earlier this week, Blac Youngsta and his crewmates pulled up in the Castalia neighborhood of South Memphis toting heavy artillery. They were looking for Castalia native Young Dolph, though it seems they weren't able to track him down. It seems that the threatening invasion was motivated by a beef that's brewing between Dolph and Yo Gotti, Blac Youngsta's boss at CMG. Dolph released his new album, King of Memphis, on the same day (Feb. 19) as Yo Gotti's The Art of Hustle. Some took Dolph's bold title as a shot at Gotti, though it seems the initial tension dates back to before Dolph chose the same album release date as The Art of Hustle. Last month, Dolph sent out a tweet about a certain fan-turned-hater, likely directed at Gotti. its DOLPHHHHHH! ✔ ‎@YoungDolph Bra went from bein my #1 fan and wanting to sign me to bein my BIGGEST HATER😂 #Facts 7:02 AM - 11 Feb 2016 542 542 Retweets 368 368 likes Blac Youngsta was extremely offended at the alleged disrespect toward his label boss, and he made sure Dolph would hear his response (and see his guns) by uploading an intimidating video to the Internet. Before Youngsta and several of his affiliates raided Castalia, he shared a video from a Memphis parking lot in which he addresses Dolph directly. "Dolph you a bitch, you a soft ass n*gga, you nice ass n*gga," he begins. "If you got a problem, say you got a problem." He also rejects Dolph's album title: "You ain't no motherfuckin' "King of Memphis," you ain't king of South Memphis, you ain't even from the city, bitch!" Both scenes -- Youngsta's verbal response to Dolph as well as his foray through Castalia -- have been condensed into one, though the uploader has blurred out the weapons. Watch below.

Zaytoven Interviewed About The Death Of Bankroll Fresh

Zay and Bankroll Zaytoven speaks on the recent loss of Bankroll Fresh. The hip-hop world is suffering through yet another tragedy today, as it has been confirmed that rising Atlanta rap star Bankroll Fresh was shot and killed last night outside of his recording studio. Still shaken by the news, prominent ATL producer Zaytoven was willing to speak to Complex and share his initial reactions to the passing of his frequent collaborator. Zaytoven revealed he had just left a Future concert when he heard about the shooting. It was rapper Tracy T who first notified him, and eventually, he was able to get through to Cap 1 of 2 Chainz' The Real University label (to which Fresh was also signed), who confirmed that Fresh had not survived the incident. "It brought tears to my eyes, man. That broke my heart. He was like a younger brother to me," said Zaytoven. He also spoke on what he respected most about Fresh's artistry: "It was just him being authentic. His sound, his style, and his personality." Apparently the last time the two saw each other was just two days ago, when Fresh pulled up to Zaytoven's house to show him his brand new truck. During the interview, Zay implied that he has no idea about what might've led to the tragedy. Though he considers a handful of young rappers, like Fresh, to be family, he oftentimes -- because of his age and his focus on music -- doesn't know what they might be getting into in the streets. "Remember Bankroll Fresh, because that's a senseless death. It's no reason you should go out and die over something that's probably over nothing, and you had such a great talent and such a bright future. I want him to be remembered in that sense," said Zay on the importance of keeping Fresh's legacy alive. To honor his legacy, Zaytoven wants to put out some of his unreleased collaborations with Fresh. "I want to make it grand, I want to put it on a big stage," he said of his future plans to release a posthumous Bankroll Fresh project.

Kanye West On Pirate Bay Screenshot: "It's Obviously Not My Computer"

Kanye West Kanye West responds to the minor controversy over his studio tweet, as well as his public perception. Kanye West has been very vocal on Twitter recently, and as a result he's opened up some conversations on a variety of topics. One of his more talked about posts from the last few weeks was a screenshot that seemed to suggest he was using torrent site The Pirate Bay. The tweet inspired a back and forth between Ye and fellow Tidal owner Deadmau5 (or as Kanye put it Dead-Mow-5), which led to his team suggesting the photo wasn't even from West's computer. In a candid conversation at LAX, Kanye has personally addressed the tweet, backing up his team's claims. "It's obviously not my computer," he said. "I took a picture of it in the studio and everyone was like, 'Don't put that up... I was like, 'let it go up'." From there he spoke of the irony that The Pirate Bay was the site that reportedly hosted over a million downloads of his new album, The Life Of Pablo, of which he said he had recently written a rhyme, "A million illegally downloaded my truth over the drums." Check out the clips of Kanye, where he also thanks Kim and her family for supporting him throughout the last few weeks when he was facing criticism. "People were really like, he must be going crazy. Kanye West Says He Promised President Obama He’d Produce On Nas’ Next Album

Kanye & Nas Kanye West says he made a promise to President Obama that he'd produce on Nas' next album. Kanye West was back at with the twitter fingers Friday night, but this time he wasn’t ranting or causing drama. Instead, the G.O.O.D. Music leader gave fans something look forward to other than his upcoming Turbo Graphx16 album when he announced that he'd be producing on Nas' next album, or least at that's what he promised President Obama anyways. The tweet surfaces just hours after 'Ye & Nas linked up in the sandy desert of Mojave, California to shoot the music video for French Montana’s Wave Gods collab “Figure It Out.” (see photos here) So they had just spent the entire afternoon together. 'Ye followed up the promise, by adding that “we need to bring Max B, Lord (Timothy Ballard) and Barkim back home @nas @FrenchMontana#Harlem#QB” in a tweet. Ironically, it was just a couple weeks ago when French revealed that Kanye didn't even know who Max B was originally, but I guess things have changed. As for when that Nas album could be coming? That's anyone guess, but its anticipation just got that much bigger. Check out Kanye's tweets below. Royce Da 5'9" To Troy Ave: "You Owe Capital STEEZ's Family An Apology"

Royce Da 5'9 Troy Ave's diss was too heartless for even the "Bad Meets Evil" rapper. The hip hop community is still debating whether or not Troy Ave took it too far by dissing the late Capital STEEZ on his diss record against Joey Bada$$. While Joey hasn’t responded on record, a few people in the hip hop community have taken the time to speak out against the line in a more serious manner. Royce Da 5’9” did just that at Complex today. In a sit down interview, Royce Da 5’9” explains that there are lines that should not be crossed in every aspect of life, even if you’re beefing with someone. “What did these guys really do to each other, to warrant you thinking that it’s okay for you to say that? Troy Ave, if you’re listening you owe Capital STEEZ’s family an apology.” The Detroit rapper went further, drawing his own personal experience with suicide to reinforce the idea that it simply isn’t something that should be used to put someone down. Especially someone who has already passed. And Royce is absolutely someone who’s familiar with making offensive statements in his rhymes, especially in his “Bad Meets Evil” series with Eminem. “Why can’t he just rap and say what he has to say about Joey Bada$$? There’s nothing gangsta about that and I don’t support it,” Royce concludes. Check out the whole thing down bottom.

Fetty Wap On His Grammy Nomination: "I Already Knew I Wasn't Going To Win"

Fetty Wap Fetty Wap remains gracious after his trip to the Grammy Awards. Fetty Wap was one of the artists nominated for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance, but we’ll forgive you if you forgot after Kendrick Lamar’s performance consumed the Grammys. Fetty didn’t get a lot of screen time during the show (not that he specifically wanted it), but his presence there still means he had a very impressive 2015. The Paterson, NJ rapper and singer spoke to XXL about his experience at the award show, and Fetty revealed himself to be every bit as humble as when he first came up. Describing his reaction to being nominated, the Remy Boyz member said, “I feel honored to be a part of it. It was an honor to be nominated… Even for the Grammys to even notice me, that’s big.” Ever the realist, Fetty Wap even went out of his way to tell his crew he wasn’t expecting to win. “I already knew I wasn’t going to win, I told my camp like, ‘I won’t get my hopes up high.’” I’m real regular with it. I just so happen to have a song that the people like and it was Grammy nominated.” It's great to see a quickly rising artist like Fetty Wap keeping his feet firmly planted. It'll serve him in the long run. Check out the full interview over at XXL.
